Spore Theory [The God That Will Come]

How about this. The Spore creatures have been developed by hundreds of thousands of players, so technically whatever happens to that species is controlled by its Creator. Maxis developed the game under Will Wright. All the Maxis creatures were created by one. Technically, Maxis could be considered Spode. Now, they were there first, you came second. This could correlate well with the idea of the God That Will Come, since you came after the true 'gods' of Spore did. Spode, the God That Will Come, and Steve could be one in unity. Since you have full control over the game, you could technically be all of them, none of them, or them all in one. In the end the gods would not be seen as a physical object but an omnipresent, omnipotent deity... The only deity of that sort being you. This is only one of the possibilities but it's something to think about!

In my theory "Spode" stands for "Spore Developer". Lets break it down. If you were in a game with no creatures at all,,, you would have to start from scratch, create all the buildings, creatures, ect..... and they would fill your universe,, you having created them,, makes you Spode,,,, And when you play spore, ,,, once in the game and playing it,, you are "The god that will come" 2 gods, 1 in the same. Another theory is that Spode is the Developers and players are simply "The god that will come" .

I loved Spore and played it a lot when I was younger but I always struggled in the later space stage.

The god that will come does not look like that in spore... he has a a jaw structure of the grox but the highest level of it pure carnivore and its a adventure in galactic adventures... the Church warns you of the god that will come and the say he has shown up on Planet and they need you to see if it is true.. while they are telling your player this they are cowering in fear and yes this is a REAL MAXISSSSSS adventure so don't go and tell me it isn't cus i played it a long time ago back when i was addicted to spore... when you beam down the planet is facing harsh environmental changes like floods you speak to a villager yada yada and he tells you to go to spode's temple while you are there Two fucking giant epics appear one is named spode and he has tentacles and has poofy clouds around the base of the tentacles and has arms and stuff and the "False god" looks similar to him and also has tentacles and your mission is tor each the temple to pray to spodes temple to give him enough strength to defeat him because apparently he has been fighting him for years on the planet so the description said... WELP leave a comment below if u want a in-depth description about the adventure.

You have the power to create a new specie, manipulate timeline, destroying planets by a press of a button (Altough you can still meet that specie... I'm a little late to the party but I was thinkin', there could be two options? I'm unsure if anyone else has thought of these, and I believe (although not entirely) Darkspore was released after this "God That Will Come", on to the first theory. It could be foreshadowing Darkspore, maybe referencing the main villain "The Corruptor". I can easily see his worship being incredibly wrong, since he's a complete asshole, and the main antagonist! The second theory is simple, too much so. The God that WILL Come. WILL. Will Wright >u> Other than that it could just be the player or the developers, either way, I still boast a solid opinion on my theories, but I'm not completely convinced. Have a nice day guys! ^u^

My Theory(it's just like my theory about Steve i recomend read it first): Human's has evolved into a bird like creature with great technology,they fly to the universe and found the Grob(Grox)they became ally and then Grob betray human's and become Grox,Steve is last alive and he had the weapon that could destroy the Grox.So basically he is waiting for The God.The power to create a species,destroying a species and become a spesies.And the GOD is you,Steve was waiting for million year's for you to come and destroy the Grox empire

What if the Grox worship Steve as the false god. When steve seeded their world he observed that the Grox became excessively hostile, so he sent the Mozilla to destroy them. Due to the fact that Steve created them, the Grox believed that he is the god that created them as a superior race to fight Spode's plan(the player's) and they started fanatically worshiping him and conquering the galaxy to "complete his plans". Seeing what he has done, Steve runs to the centre of the galaxy and the Grox mistake that for him being expelled by Spode. That's why they protect Steve from anyone (because the player can take the form of any species). Their technological advancement gradually ran out of steam and they didn't manage to conquer the entire galaxy. From there religions started forming: the common galactic faith in Spode became widespread (by some means) and some think Steve is Spode, others that Spode takes the form of a species (like the player); the faith in the god that will come started from the Grox, who think that Steve will escape and help them conquer the galaxy. People started believing the Grox to be enemies of life, when in reality they only want to conquer "in Steve's name". Also it was assumed that Steve and Spode are enemies. About the unknown god, maybe he is just another interpretation of the god that will come.

Perhaps the " God that will come" is us, the players? We have the ability to create and destroy all that exists in that galaxy.

Well, since the Shaman Empires are the only real religious empires it makes perfect sense as Steve is not, in fact, imprisoned by the Grox since the Grox think Steve is a machine, based on the fact that no human in Spore can liv forever, meaning the worshippers of Spode worship Steve.

Steve might be The God That Will Come, because he was in the Sims game and I think the timeline goes Sims then Grox destroy Sims (humans) then Spore starts. But then Maxis would be Spode because they created both games

Theory with flaws: The grox destroy the evidence because they believe they shall be a god. they don't want anything more powerful than them in the whole entire universe.
