totally wrong cdl vehicles over 26001 yes this is a rv i can drive any thing with my md class a non-cdl license (non com vehicles) most states do this example sc is a class f i think the things you guys say lets me know you all have no knowledge of trucks get a pickup a welfare camper and stay in your lane lol
question i heard you can drive this on a regular license so what if i wanted to put a gooseneck flatbed to hall my backhoe can you still drive it on a regular license ?
You don't need a CDL if you pull a travel trailer on occasion, they are exempt under Federal High Safety Laws, however if you pull an enclosed trailer, car hauler etc. You will over 26,001 pounds, and will need USDOT #, current medical card, and Class A CDL. Keep in mind the truck itself weights around 14-16K Pounds.
Ahh these things are so sexy! $167K? Mmmmmmm probably not. This is definitely for people who have the money and then passion. All I have is the passion haha.
$167K base price, 26K towing capacity and 11 MPG? I pull 27K or more on a daily basis with my 06 Silverado 3500 Cab & Chassis 2WD and get 8-10 MPG. I paid less than 10K for a one owner truck with 120K miles that looks and drives like a brand new truck. If I wanted to pull more, I'd just spend $60K and get a new Ram 5500 and pull 35K. These people are crazy!
the tow rating as he said is for the base model. these can be rated to tow up to 40K and can handle the trailer and load more better than your smaller pickup.
You can go get a Cascadia or a Coronado for that much. They can keep it. Get a Fitzgerald glider and get a pre emissions remanufactured Cat or DD 60 Series in your Freightliner and get an even far more superior truck, that will spend more time on the road than in the shop.
