You go full on Black Van kidnapping if you're taking someone to a hunting or fishing spot. Cell phones turned off and left, black bags over the heads, earplugs, random cutbacks, all the shady shit.
My dad called me with the exact same question one time, "How do I get this night vision to turn on?" He wanted to shoot some rats with a pistol in one hand and aim through the night vision with the other lol
I had I buddy that got caught spot lighting 3 times, the second 2 times was before he went to court for the first time. He got to go to prison for 6 months and 2 months after he got out he got caught for spotlighting, hunting out of season, and no hunting license. He went back to prison for 18 months. I convinced him to stop hunting after that. He really couldn't anyway for awhile because the game warden confiscated all his guns, hunting gear, and pickup truck the fourth time and he can't get a hunting license in this state anymore.
@@jacobduggan8008 Most in America do it from the road. So doubly illegal here. Had a buddy back in the 90s get a DUI because he turned around at a fork in the road and his headlights shined across a field. Game warden saw him and pulled him over for spot lighting.
@@jacobduggan8008 Are you spotlighting for deer? It's considered illegal because the deer stop and don't move. "Deer in the headlights" are an easy mark, for one, and two, it usually takes place after dark, when you can't see beyond the deer. Is there a road back there? A house? Some kind of infrastructure, like a fuel or water pumping station? A bullet will travel a helluva lot farther than the spotlight can "see". Most places in the US, we don't have as much "wilderness" as other places in the world, especially in the Eastern half of the States. Hell, some states restrict us to either shotguns with slugs, large bore handguns, or black powder rifles. No modern cartridge rifles allowed for deer hunting, since the population density is too high.
Dude, like your chain. I had one just like it. After 17 yrs of daily wear, 3 aligator clip replacemnts, 4 link repairs, it finaly wore to thin to wear. I gave it to my son to have his wedding ring made. It still lives :)
Let me give yall a great piece of advice that my father passed down to me that he learned from my grandfather. "When it comes to hunting or fishing spots remember if you bring a friend every friend has a friend".
I was going to yell at Ricky for spot lighting.. But then he pulls out the Wizard eyes at the end - gotta keep up with the technology, it ain't the 70s anymore. 😇👍🦌
That’s funny as hell lol. My old man came up to visit this year from Arkansas an he freaked out when I took him out shinning for deer. He thought for sure we where going to jail 🤣🤣🤣
This guy is very intelligent and creative 👌. I like the characters and the way he knows how to show them interacting with the other characters commensurate with their own personalities. Nicely done.
Guy from our deer lease got caught by the game warden with a deer in the light. They were heading to the deer lease for opening weekend, it was his sons first hunting trip & he was showing his son what a deer looked like. He had locked his rifle in his trailer at camp on the lease when he went down to load his feeder a few weeks earlier. The only reason why the game warden didn't arrest him was because there wasn't a gun in the truck.
You don't get arrested for spotlighting you get a summons. And spotlighting them isn't illegal itself you have to be hunting, so yeah of course he's not gonna get hemmed up for it if he physically can't hunt due to not having a rifle on him
@@deusvult6920 hey man, I wasn't there, I'm just going off what he said. BTW, the only infractions you CAN'T be taken to jail for in TX are speeding, open container, and now texting while driving. Troll elsewhere.
My Grandad & his brother-in-law took me on a ride one night in east Texas while we were up at their hunting cabin. I was 8 yo. Grandad told me that if anyone came up to the car, to be quiet and not say a word. They began shining, and sure enough a "deputy dog" pulled up, and asked them what they were doing sitting on the side of the road, and he asked me, too. Of course, my 8yo self said "Howdy, we're just riding & looking around!" Deputy laughed, and said that there's no way that they're doing anything wrong, since they had a Magpie along for the ride. It became one of my Grandad's favorite stories.
Everyone needs to contact their representatives and force RU-vid to lose their status. They are actually publishers. They go against the first amendment!!! time to make them liable!!
Sometimes Ricky does stuff and I think it's ridiculous. And other times you make videos like this and I realize no, I know about a dozen Ricky's right now.
I've found spot lighting to be really fun when I used to go with my uncle down in Mexico but all the violence down there makes it hard to do it wish it was legal here in Michigan
I'm gonna unsubscribe, just so I can resubscribe 😂. This dude is too funny! I really like these characters with their very distinct personalities. My favorite is Rosco!
Are they talking about spotlighting as I know it (which is merely shining a light into a field to find deer as a scouting method)? Or are they talking about something we call firelighting, which is when you shine a spotlight into the deer's eyes to stun him before gunning him down. In North Carolina, firelighting will result in the confiscation of your gun, your light, your vehicle, and your license.
" You and Roscoe are the only ones who know how to get HERE "...he wrote and does this all himself and doesn't even have the bossman catch this....man that is funny.
@Tabitha Abrams Thank you for explaining it to me. My aunt lives in Monson, Maine on her property she puts apples out for deer, but she doesn't kill them. She has a powerful spotlight for her own property. Because she had a bear on her property a couple of times
Has a neighbor who's son was a sheriff, took his young son spotlighting. Shot one of those robo deer, ended up in a high speed chase and then him and his larger than average 14yo son got tazed. Daddy ain't around no more and certainly ain't still coppin
For anyone else who was curious as to why spotlighting is illegal. I'm saving you into a Google search. Literally the first results right here. V The animals are temporarily blinded and stand still, making it easier for hunters to kill them. In some areas, jacklighting is illegal because it is considered unsporting and dangerous because the hunters cannot see far enough beyond the targeted animal.
