Ricky has the best on the job coping skills. He reminds me of guys i worked with on roofing crews. Only they somehow cared less about things 😂. The saying on the job was "If you fall from the ladder/roof, remember, you're fired before you hit the ground ".

I get in my work truck, start it, then lay down in the fetal position on the bench seat crying uncontrollably. My work truck hauls the porta potty juice so the watery eyes are easily explained.

I do remember going through the same thing myself, but very VERY RARELY. Nowadays, I just save it until I go to bed hours after arriving home, but I utilize sad stuff I can find on RU-vid; I'm usually feeling better after 8 to 12 minutes of letting it all out.

I used to play welcome to my nightmare by Alice Cooper anytime we got a new guy in the shop, or anytime i could tell someone was having a bad day. Anytime someone would ask me how i put up with all the bs for so long i would tell them "seeing the misery on your alls faces everyday reminding me of when i thought it couldn't get any worse, then i just dwell in those good memories until i snap back to the here and now and get back to work"
