Spray foam … a mask, crown or skeleton in a can! Such a great medium, and highly versatile in the hands of Allen. Great work and a joy to watch. Note to self… I must make more stuff!
I just heard and wanted to congratulate you on your new role at Dark Hour. You’re such an asset and blessing to the haunt community. Wishing you all the best, Allen!
Days are gone of Paper Mache, days are here of Foam Spray!!! I can’t wait to see what else you come up with, I will always tune in for potential foam masks! I think the possibilities are endless…I still want to create my original idea for a Miami retro skull mask with coloured lensed sunglasses! I see foam spray as the perfect tool! 💀😎
I just found this channel, and I've binge watched like 15 of your videos. I have a small non-profit haunted house, and I've been interested in prop and mask making for so long. I've learned so much from this channel.
I stretch pantyhose over items (to make skins for animatronics) as a release for can foam. The foam/pantyhose peals off like velcro. (Dollar store pantyhose!) edit: oh I was wondering if your actors ever complain that this stuff gets too hot as it is instillation. I guess you could put air holes in the top.
Nice! My Napalm Charlie is done. Vietnam Airsoft event this weekend! I could not find the loctite foam. So I started the project with the ace hardware stuff. Finally found the good stuff and can confirm that it’s much better at curing and being manipulated. Thank you! Your the boss! I have about as much art skill as I do singing skills ( not much my wife says). And I think these sappers look damn good! 👍👍👍
Dare I say....it sooo pretty!! I have found that Loctite makes a good glue for itself around the 12 to 15 minute mark. I just pin the pieces with Dollar Tree skewers.
How on earth do you expect me to decide on One project to make for our costumes this year? Goodness! Ps. I’m really happy that you don’t have to interrupt yourself to adjust the camera! 🥰
@@StiltbeastStudios I’ve noticed the production upgrades, Awesome job. I really enjoy watching you work. I’m always inspired, and love your teaching style. Thank you❤️
After watching a few of yr (amazing)videos, think you should get a deal with Locktite. Their sales are going to go thru the roof as yr technique goes globally viral ! Amazing skills & creativity. Love yr generousity in sharing❤
I do, thank you. I have a question, have you ever made puppets for films or attractions? If so, I would definitely like to see a puppet tutorial in the future.
wow, no I have not that would be a bit more expensive. we actually just made a full latex mermaid mold for latex and foam mermaids, t was a fun project, I will show one on the channel evetually.
I tried to make a foam mask last night and boy you make it look easy. Let's just say I'll be picking foam off my hands for the next few days but it'll be worth it when I finish.
Holy mythical mystics seriously wow this definitely tops this one a Mermaid crown 😍👑 this one definitely puts stars to my eyes this is totally epic all the way I absolutely love what you put in to it it's a legendary art masterpiece I also love the skit l from the start and at the end of the video the best Mermaid crown ever the whole make is completly well done and very epic ✨🧜♂️✨
I really enjoy your spray foam tutorials. I love that you are also showing more complex projects. I can't wait to see more. I've subscribed so I don't miss any!
I just subscribed to your channel. Because of your werewolf video. I really like what you're doing. Thank you for getting my Alexis to set a timer for 3 minutes 😂
Wow! Very creative. I never get tired of watching the Loctite foam projects. That stuff seems to offer endless potential. Amazing video quality on the outro, too! I know I've asked this before, but of you wouldn't mind, can you please supply a link to the hair extensions? I'm looking for blonde. Everything I see is expensive. Thanks again! 🤘💀
I guess, but your sculpting ability would be limited by the cling wrap, you also need to make sure the foam gets enough water to skin. The form has been through much worse I assure you lol.
You are pioneering the use of expanding foam for all of us. It really is incredibly useful, and you've shown us many skills and tips, so us bozos don't mess up! I remember making some foam pumpkins a few years ago, unfortunately I was not aware of the stickiness of said foam, and, well, to cut a long story short, having used my bare hands to 'shape' some of it, and spraying the foam in a rather haphazard, care-free way, I was still picking bits of foam off of my hands and arms several weeks later. I guess it's a mistake you only make once. We have many brands of expanding foam here in the UK, but Loctite is unavailable (for some unknown reason). So I'll try a random brand to see what happens.
its a real thing, I think they just have to be careful lol. www.amazon.com/16-PCS-Keratin-Bond-Glue-Sticks/dp/B085ZX4N5Y/ref=sr_1_32?crid=WT3JMJE8EFVE&keywords=hair+extension+glue&qid=1695436714&sprefix=hair+extension+glue%2Caps%2C142&sr=8-32
Another great video ❤ I made a comment on your last video about using a foam gun and replacement cans. I dont know how much these guns are where you live but around my way they cost about $20 and the much larger replacement cans are around $6. Apart from long team cost saving you can adjust the flow from pencil thin to wrist size and as the nozzle seals, there is zero waste.
I'm so happy you've done two water creates in a row! I still hope you'll do an insectoid if some kind soon. Also, I'm making a cauldron out of spray foam using the carveable foam pumpkin tutorial and so far I'm pretty happy with it.
Again awesome work Allen.👍 I'm watching this video then my girlfriend says is that Jeff Goldblum you're looking at ? she says you sound like him .LOL 😄
Just amazing!! If you are taking suggestions I would like for you to do a mythosaur skull. I recently made the pumpkin from great stuff foam and put it on a scarecrow I think it turned out great, now I have to wait and see if it will hold up to the FL.heat!!
You’re very talented you must have been doing this for a long time. Have you ever tried to make a medusa hat like you just made but I’m gonna do so you know the lady with the snakes coming out of her head I think that would be great.
I'm going to try the loctite foam today, and use a can to practice technique first as you suggested. I'm trying to make a "Darkness" costume from the movie Legend - wish me luck, I'm not sure I'll be able to pull it off!
Question! Does the spray foam stick to plastic? I don't have a bust like you have to spray the foam on a head, but I do have a red bald cap head form (used to make bald caps) ... would I be able to replicate this on that type of surface?
I've seen you use Plastic wrap on the head form before. (Did you just decide to try something different?) I think it makes release later super easy. 😊 I LOVE your videos!
I'm sorry if this comment is late to the party... But has anyone suggested or tried baby powder? Also a water-based lotion might be a helpful water substitute... Love the videos 🤘🎃
i want to be careful of anything that would make it hard to paint later on- but the powder is a good thing to tryt if Im not using water undneath- I just think I will use water- its what helps it skin and that makes it easier to remove.
I love locktite foam. Unfortunately I brought 4 cans for this Halloween season frome Home Depot, and 3 of the cans would not spray anything out. I have never had an issue with the old nozzle design. I am leary of these new can designs.
You do pretty rad work my friend been watching your videos for the last couple of days just subscribed ..How cool would a TarFace mask be or the monster from the movie funhouse cheers
its the name of the show, like vitamin water is not full of vitamins or good for you, RU-vid Wednesday comes out each week, sometimes on Wednesday, sometimes not- many people will wait till wednesday to watch it.
That's what she said 😁 Immaturity here, lol. Anyone else hear it and immediately say it to themselves? I'm surprised he didn't point it out and say something. Anyways, myself and my 3 year old love your creations. He absolutely is obsessed with how you turn "white fluff" into spooky stuff. 👻
