The Spurs were always a team that you would want to see on Match of the Day. Didn't win much but they had some cracking players always looking to do things the right way. Things haven't really changed. Still a good side to watch and root for if they are not playing your team.
I missed a Hoddle chip from about the inside right potion against Watford. I remember also a John Chiedozi volley against somebody from somewhere near the corner flag.
Spurs has the best pool of gifted and talented players during the 80s . Its a pity that they couldnt win the league during that era. Hodle, Clive Allen, Graham Roberts., Ardilles, Ricky Villa, Wadle, Perryman, Crooks, Archibald, Gary Steven, Mahbut, Hughton, Clemence, Gascoigne, Paul Miller, were superb players but still couldnt win the league because Liverpool was the best team that ruled during the 70s and 80s

Spurs have always been the nearly men. They have had some great players down the years but have never attained to Great Team despite picking up the odd trophy here and there!
