This is just one of a ton of a legitimate piece of cooking advice I learned from DDD. Cooking at home just throwing some cold water in and covering will help melt cheese on ANY sandwich you make! Guy YEARS later will still bust out this technique and surprise his chef friends. Awesome!
Cooks aboard Merchant Mariner crewed vessels have known of the "steam" technique (usually with water though) for quite some time. Trying to feed an entire crew in a short period of time helps to speed up the serving process. Now, I need to convince the cooks on my ship to stack the cheese this deep on my next burger !!!!
We got one connected to a gas station lol. Took my cheese loving friend here and you should have seen his face when the burger dropped in front of him. I get the small cheese skirt and it’s more than I can eat. If you go, remember they put more cheese on top of the burger in addition to the bottom skirt so you may want to omit the top cheese
Saxton Hale As a native in Sacramento after this show aired he blew up and they no longer does fresh fries and the burgers and the new locations suck...This show did help him grow but now there cutting corners. There not in that little shack anymore because of an attorney in town who sues small business for not having bathrooms that are handicap acceptable and that has led to the shut down of everything old school in our town... Once he moved everything went down burgers are ok but the nostalgia is gone for sure...
Damn yankess sure kno how to enjoy life....ima going to have to go check out this burger joint when im down in cali.....loooks frigging deeeeelish.....
Dude do you know of this chinese food place called BO BO'S CHINESE HOT TAKE OUT it's location was 7870 Florin Road Sacramento California 95828 in the corner of Rainbow market which has closed down and BO BO'S CHINESE TAKE OUT disappeared nobody knows where they're located anymore and they had the best egg rolls ever does anyone know anything about this
EUROPA ty for info friend, i was just commenting, i'm ok also and i am 55, 6' 175lbs., it is just aggravating that all the things that taste good are bad for you, lol, have a good one pal
There's also these inconvenient things such as laws and food safety and just being a nasty fuck not gloving up to make peoples food. What do I know only been a chef for 8 years.
Look, I'm not saying it's not a good idea, but if you wash your hands and they're clean when you're touching something like a pan or utensil, then what's there to worry about? You don't see everyone gloved up the whole time on Iron Chef, do you?
Been going to the Napa joint ever since it opened. Got my picture on the wall from a newspaper article when it really got popular. Definitely the best burgers in Napa valley hands down and the best burger I’ve ever had.
White Manna is not trying to copy white castle. White castle steams frozen beef patties with dehydrated onions underneath with a pickle slice on the burger between 2 buns. White manna cooks never frozen burgers with very thin onions mashed into the burger with steamed buns. You can get a slice of cheese on either, but white manna's fresh beef with fresh onions mashed into the fresh beef patty is much better
It's not there off of Fruitridge anymore. They moved it a long time ago because it wasn't handicap accessible. The burgers are ok but I prefer Scott's Burger Shack off of Franklin Blvd. Guy should do an episode on Scott's Burger Shack. They make really good burgers there. It's a tine hole in the wall but they make huge burgers called the Fatboy Burger.
