Land and Bay Fishing I looked up that wish braid you are using, it sure is pricey stuff, I use kastking from either ebay or AliExpress whichever is cheaper. You can get 300m from about $8 delivered, or 300m 8 strand for $15. Like the videos very informative, however I would like to comment about your braid sizing information. 0.008 inches / 19lb equates to 0.2032mm . This is just a very average braid nothing super thin about it and you can buy it for around $2.00 /300m (cheap) from Wish. Personally I prefer a better quality and thiner braid on my reels.

That is an error on my part. The Wish braid I was referring too was .08mm at 18lb. Thanks for pointing that out.

Yep you’ll get Tigar Squid an hour either side of the high tide. Couple of nights either side of the full moon.

Couple of questions, with regard to the more expensive and less so jigs, what sets the better apart? Also, are the squid you get on the sunny coast all Tigers, and if not what else can you catch. Sorry if you've been asked these questions before,. Cheers

Dave Smith there are a number of differences between jigs. The main ones are the quality and strength of the barbs and the material that the jig is covered in. Shape, and how well it imitates the bait is another.

Dave Smith prefer tigers for catching and eating. Easier to clean as well

Thanks for sharing the information! I usually go to the shorn cliffe area for arrow squid at night time. Is there a difference the way to fish between "arrow squid" and "tiger squid"? and what time is good for fishing them?

godkyungsu arrow squid like the current and tend to be found in good numbers off jetties. Tigers seem to prefer the structure in close to our shoreline. Nights are better

Hey Wayne, thank you for a great video. I have watched it a few times now. I have a couple of questions to the lacquer on the jigs? Q1: Why do you do it? Q2: Is it lacquer or epoxy? Q3: What type of 2 part lacquer do you use? and where do you purchase it from? Kind Regards Andy :)

+Andy Curtis is 1. It prolongs the life of the Jig. 2 + 3. It’s the 2 pack epoxy used on Fishing rod guides. Check eBay
