It could actually save you money by being more frugal with bait and reducing waste. If you buy in bulk you can split it down for individual sessions.

@@seaangling yes definitely the amount we waste is shocking this way we will just use what we need too 🤔 and I can sell packs of cocktail baits which will pay for the sealer can't wait for it to arrive now 👍

It is very handy when the weather is cold and wet and you are trying to keep your hands warm. It is also useful to have the first few baits pre-made and then prepare fresh once rigged and fishing.

They are my favourites and look amazing. Their detail when you see them up close is stunning. 🎣👍🏻

It is a nice system especially when cold or like me you get all excited to get fishing as quick as you can. Prepare a few frozen baits to defrost en-route and then continue adapting with fresh through the session. 🎣👍🏻

I always get excited to fish the day before I go. Just like now I am going in the morning after the school run and I can't stop thinking about it lmao, plus the wife is working tonight so I can do my bait prep in the kitchen without her knowing lol

I like to use them for keeping fish in the freezer. There is no doubt it keeps better and if you cook it in the bag it retains flavour and smell. 😉

I do like to make my baits up as I go but really like the speed of getting a prepared bait in the water at the start and it is a blessing when it is really cold. 🎣👍🏻 Next course later this week 🛥️

Great tip Brian, does your sealer have a narrow or wide heat plate? I ask because mine does a double heat seal in one go. I fold the end over to keep the top section clean which as you know can affect the seal if dirty.

@@seaangling Not sure about the sealing strip single or double, it wasn’t the most expensive of vacuum sealers and right now I am in Norway will check when I get home

Previously frozen but the key here is not to defrost them completely. Enough to separate and cut is all that is needed but I let these go too far. You are absolutely right that fresh mackerel/bluey prepared a lot easier and is tougher and more flexible. When using frozen Mack/bluey for shore cast baits I prefer to use them frozen or only part defrosted otherwise the baits explodes on impact on the cast. From the boat it is a lot simpler. To answer your question these were pre-frozen and would be used part defrosted. Fresh is always best but not always possible. 🎣👍🏻

@@markmaloney5146 I have fished it alongside local caught cuttle and local caught mackerel and it out fishes them both. The only thing I think will trump it is the local squid.
