My grandfather started me out with squirrel hunting when I was 12, I'm now in my 40's and it still holds a special place in my heart and go as often as I can even during deer season lol...Thanks for the great videos and please keep them coming!!!
+Chris Witkowski Thanks for stopping by to share your start into squirrel hunting. It's almost the same as mine. We're currently filming for this season, so I'd look for another video around the end of February. If you haven't, please consider subscribing. Appreciate it!
natebonebusta awesome!!...can't wait for the new season and I subscribed after the first video I watched lol. Again thanks for the great videos!! Also I have a lab beagle mix We found as a puppy last November she's 1 now..She trees squirrels with no training and holds them there, any training advice?
Sounds like she's a natural, just make sure to shoot out the ones she's treed so she gets the reward for treeing them. That ought to turn up her drive to tree more.
natebonebusta thanks for the reply!!...2 weeks vacation after next week and I'll be smacking some squirrels and hopefully a couple pigs while hunting them bushy tails
Glad to hear it. I'm getting pumped too! Nice to watch our past hunts to relive those memories and prepare for making more. Good luck next month! Thanks for watching.
Now I know how Clint Eastwood must have felt in the Gauntlet....lol. I use to hunt chicken of the tree with a ruger 10/22, then went to a Gamo Hornet Maxxim .22 when stealth is necessary but I now hunt them with my Stoeger M3000 with a extended ported IM choke and #6 1 1/8 oz. shot, takes em down first shot very shot. Boy you guys do make it look like fun....well more than it already is!
Variety certainly makes it more fun! Having a good time is something we try to do every time we go out. We’re always picking at one another, or doing something to make each of us laugh. Everyone likes a cheerful limb chicken sniper! 🤣. Thanks for stopping by to watch.
hope your season has started well for you.Mine has been pretty good this past month of September I've harvested 37.A few of them with a new cz 455 ultramatch I been trying out.
+Jody Briggs Ours gets underway October 17 and we're looking forward to it. We do have a special trip planned for this week to take out some fox squirrels in Virginia, so hopefully we'll get our limit. 37 is a great start.
sorry I must have read north Carolina hunting regs wrong but hope you have good luck in Virginia on them Foxes.I don't have any here where I hunt but wish I did.
Fifty yards for anything 10 power and over and under 9 power 35 yards. I made a couple of videos showing my sight in process, and here's the first ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fu65GAFjzMo.html
