SR 34067 Tangmere plays catch up with The Cumbrian Mountain Express 22/06/24

SR 34067 Tangmere was the motive power from Carnforth for todays Cumbrian Mountain Express which was running over half an hour late having been heavily delayed not long after leaving London earlier in the day, we first see Tangmere with ten on and 47746 assisting on the rear from Paddy Lane and Docker Viaduct then on the return at Smardale Curve and Waitby Rock Cutting, thanks to Steve for the crack today and thanks for watching.

I particularly liked the clip coming around the S bend but all were good locations. Nice to get some exhaust despite the hot weather 😊

I’ve been told that Bahamas is coming to the Severn valley railway for the first time in 30 years the last time she came here was during the spring steam gala 1994 And now 30 years later she’s coming again this time part of the autumn steam gala And the Severn valley railway hasn’t had a jubilee visit here since 2010 when Leander paid a visit here

Great video Nige, we did Greenholm foroutward leg and I went to Stockber for the return leg. I managed to get the sun out at both locations, which will be a first for me this year.

When I saw it wa 70 mins late,further south, I decided not to go out for it. As expected the diesel was giving a good shove in both directions. Good video though.

Hi Nige, I see you've been busy the last 12 months. My laptop firewall has locked me out of commenting but all is well Tangmere always seems very 'claggy', but is running well Al.
