The old Korando wasn't ugly at all. I hope they will finally establish everywhere. There will also be an all-electric version of it at the end of this year. Again: Hopefully they really can bring it to market.
nice alternative in the Korean brand line up their building some pretty good stuff these days , I would buy one any day over most of that over priced European rubbish , good review by the way.
i just bought the karando quartz, and i can't wait until i have it, this one does include the navigation plus 9.2" touchscreen. Thanks for the review and confirming my thoughts about this car!
Yes . please keep showing Korean and Chinese alternatives to the over priced companies as we are price sensitive and the warranty set at 7 years is compelling .
You would think that if they bother to build a right hand drive version, that they would have put the indicator stalk on the right hand side of the steering wheel.
Absolutely ssangyong Korando is the best because specially ssangyong always use best quality reliable engine that's why you'll be tension free about engine performance for long time use
I remember the 80's, 90's. Those cars had fuel consumption of 10-12 l / 100km ...... even though they were heavier, more solidly made. Today, they are moving beer cans full of electronics that sometimes irritate and distract while driving ... Something beeps, flashes, signals ..... Most of us do not even have time to verify it while driving, especially in the city in traffic jams and rush. I got the impression that I sit in front of two laptops for the 2021 models ..... In Korando, even activating the indicator is an annoying loud clicking noise. The car looks great on the outside, too modernist inside and the whole cockpit looking too massive. It is a car with plenty of space for 5 large people and comfortable with a very well tuned suspension system. Unfortunately, the 1.5 turbo gasoline engine is not flexible and has a very big disadvantage - its fuel consumption in the test was between 10-13 l / 100 km ...... It is a fuel-consuming engine for modern times where economic aspects are important to us ... For example a Suzuki with a 1.4 turbo engine where it only burns 5.5 liters. Koreans quickly have to do something about it because the competition is far ahead in this aspect. I would certainly give Korando 9 points, but the engine is not adapted to the weight of this car and is very fuel-consuming ..
Mate you need to choose whether power or fuel consumption. Both can not come together. You just mention suzuki which gives 86kw power and 156 Nm torque in compare to 120km power and 280 Nm torque in ssangyong. If you prefer fuel consumption then power its not for you.
Most overtly ugly Ssang Yong precious generation Korando? I think you were referring to the first generation Stavic / Rodius from 2012-2019. That was an eye waterer. The second generation Korando (1996-2006) was no oil painting, but was the Mona Lisa when compared to the Stavic.
Hi Emily, The Korando is more polished in terms of its features and especially the way that it drives. If you read our full reviews on site, they have a full score breakdown for how we get to the ratings at the end of each video. TW
MG is cheap, powerless and featureless car. You can not compare it with ssangyong which is powerful engine and more features in the car. So no comparison between MG and ssangyong.
Buying this car was and is the biggest mistake of my life.... fuel consumption is very poor on a 1.6 diesel. If anyone is thinking about buying this car should think 10 times before buying it. A full tank of fuel which is about £45 ,gets you up to 105 miles in town. Very poor fuel consumption. Don't get fooled by this fancy video.
Ssangyong will make you weep like a child once you discover how shockingly bad it is. It's just like a boat, you will only be happy twice, when you buy it and the day you get rid of it.
