It's only a shame that it cannot record by itself or output the mics to a portable recorder. Would make a good audience mic.

Seems worthy competition for the Apogee mic series

I have one. It sounds great, but the HUGE problem is, you can't use it just as a mic. It apparently MUST be THE sound card device on your system, with none other. I also have an SSL 12. I'd love to just use this as a mic, along with my other gear, running through the SSL 12 into Mixbux32C to record music. NOPE. It has to be the only device in your sound settings for inpute and output :( I think I will never, ever buy a USB mic again, if they all work this way. Great for podcasters. Almost useless for musicians.
