It's been six months since Stages announced their Dash L10/M50/L50 trio of new GPS bike compuers, two of which have color maps. While the units still aren't available yet, I got to get in a (first) test ride on them last week. Here's where the product stands, from the new courses functionality to the added color mapping and zone display. Note, this isn't a review, but rather just a quick look at things along the way.

L10 wow 150$ that has to be cool now! I want one now ....so happy they fixed the bugs ! Wished we could see more of the l10 though

I think the L50 was the unit you were so impressed with at interbike in terms of the screen resolution/clarity, yes? Looking forward to the review and comparisons to the 1030.

Yup, super bright. It probably doesn’t compare as well to the Edge 1030, but rather more to something like the Edge 520 Plus.

Do u have to buy all your smart watches from Garmin and the others? If they send them to u for free what happens to the stuff then do u have to send back or they just care if u keep it

Hi DC, A Mountain biker which wants to train with power and wants decent navigation capabilities, and was thinking of getting the wahoo, should rethink and get this one? Thanks for the info. Do they have the same Strava connectivity?

Thanks for the video Iam looking for a new gps. Cycling computer I currently have a garmin edge touring had it for the last 7 years It has packed in What would you recommend Don't realy need power meter just long battery life Gps turn by turn directions time calories speed mph distance Fastest speed I like the look of the dash l50 and the wahoo element Yours greatfully

Looks good. The only thing I can say is the UI looks a bit dated and the fonts look a bit cheap, but otherwise pretty solid. I also see they don't have Strava Live Segments (thanks to Strava being buttholes), which is a shame. I'm guessing it's the same reason why Lezyne isn't going to be improving the Strava Live Segment experience on the Super GPS (they told me they couldn't say why, but now I think I know).

Yeah, the UI on some of the units we didn’t ride with (which were newer but less stable), was better than what I showed. Some good stuff coming.

Purchased the L10 recently, but the course support doesn't work. Do I need the Premium Stages Link Acoount to upload courses? Still dissappointed with my purchase, but hopefully get it fixed. Greetings from Germany.

3:10 min Is it slow to react to pressing? you press and nothing changes. 3:22 min breaking the movie, frozen the computer?

When it comes to ability to re-route mid-ride, the options are actually pretty slim. All around best reasonably priced option Is Garmin Edge Explore that came out last summer. However, if money is no object then either the Edge 1030 or Sigma Rox 12.

@@Dcrainmaker cheers for that, I saw your video on the Sigma Rox 12 and it Looks great but jas a lot of Stuff on it that I just wouldn't use so my next unit was the Garmin explore and I have a few Garmin products which would make it easier to log info. How does the Mio range stand when it comes to turn by turn navigation? PS keep up the good work your content is Fabtastic ;)

$149 for the L10 (Black/white one), $249 for the M50 (middle sized color one), and $349 for the L50 (larger sized color one).

Thank you for the video! Not sure if it's just me, however after watching a few of your videos, I find it really difficult to understand/follow at times due to how fast you speak..... English is my first and only language, and i struggle to understand :)

Yeah, it uses a contrast based autofocus...which can be less than awesome. You can tap to focus on the tiny screen, but given it’s about the size of your thumbnail, it’s near impossible to see if it actually is focuses on what you want (with a phone it’s easier)
