I'm an "old timer" these days but when I was knee high to a grasshopper an old timer told me "You can NEVER have too much firewood!" Those words were true then, they are true now, and they will be true in the future.

Do you get tired of nosey people wanting to know why you did this or you could have done that ? People it is their property not yours. A compact tractor would be perfect for a wide variety of tasks around your property! I’m partial to Kubota, but there are many good brands out there. I’d pick one not only close by, but with a good service and parts availability. These small diesel’s are virtually bulletproof! Looking forward to your videos.

Lol the dogs are the star of the show. We have already started on firewood for next winter, and the stove has not even been installed yet lol. That's one thing I don't want to play around with haha. You guys have a beautiful place! Great video!

You cutting firewood takes me back to the days when I was younger and our family would go out every Sunday after church and get firewood. Dad built tall side rails to haul more in his truck. Sometimes he would pull a pickup box trailer with tall side rails so we could haul more sometimes he would pull the log splitter so we could fit more. Then we'd come home and have to split or stack it all. Took up all of my Sunday. I hated every bit of it. Probably because I missed out on the football games. lol. Now I'm 50 and for whatever reason I'm thinking I need a wood burning fireplace in my shop. Maybe because part of me misses it or maybe it's to keep my butt in shape. lol 24:00 my dad was a jack of all trades. could do a little bit of everything but spent most of his time mechanicing. I too wish I would have paid more attention now. You could always ask a builder in your area or the County Engineer if you have one about their experience on building.

I think a 24x30 would suit your needs perfect. After the bench's and other items like the mowers and power tools ECT. It won't take long to use that space

Are you planning to make the gravel pad bigger than the shop building foot print to give you areas on the sides and back to park/store equipment and maybe later build lean-tos?

Looks like a good spot to add 2 or 3 A frames to me! More housing can be handy on your property.

I would go at least 32 long. Will your truck be in 22 foot to have plenty of room if not you will regret it later on

You mite want to clear away some of the trees from the house and shop area as a fire break. Doing it now will give the wood some time to dry out so that you will have better firewood come winter.

I see lots of building your future. Will the cabins be for rentals? Nice neighbor to offer you the wood and you did him a favor by cutting down the tree. Any more work on the loft?

I wonder if you cut the bottom of the post beveled? Frost heaves I think are caused by catching flat surfaces and pushing. I'm no expert, just an idea based on some things I've heard since moving here. I'm very interested in how this is going to work out.

I like watching your program. The only thing that annoys me is there’s no music when you do the chainsaw and specially today I just got out of the hospital I had hysterectomy. I’m in pain. I’m trying to find distractions but I can’t watch the channel but the code with the chainsaw it’s disturbing me please in the future try to put music on when you’re doing the chainsaw other channels to that, it is annoying listening to it

Your security just keep the dogs from eating people that might not be good for them.

Why put the shop so far away from your house ??????
