Do Town Hall® pavers stand up against muriatic acid? Let's find out which one comes out stronger: the standard paver or Town Hall.
In this video, we placed a standard thru-mix paver and a Town Hall paver from our Elegance™ collection face down into separate trays of muriatic acid for 5 minutes, to see which paver can handle the most extreme conditions.
Before using muriatic acid, it's important to know what it is and how to handle it safely. Also called hydrochloric acid, it is classified as a strong acid and is a colorless solution with a distinctive pungent smell. This type of acid is a component of the gastric acid found in the digestive systems of most animal species, including humans. Being a strong acid, it is highly corrosive, so we recommend if you are working with muriatic acid that you wear protective rubber gloves when handling such concentrated solutions. Vapors or mists from muriatic acid are considered a respiratory hazard as well as an irritant to the eyes, so protective goggles, a respirator, or a facemask are highly advised when handling muriatic acid.
