Standout advertises the CF3 16mm as having a 119 swing weight and a 6.7 twist weight, while the CF3 14mm is advertised at a 114 swing weight and a 6.6 twist weight. @TickleMyPickleball has a great review on the CF3 16mm as well, and his particular paddle’s swing weight was 121 with a twist weight of 6.41. Be sure to check out his channel! 🤗🥒
Interested in the 16mm! 5.5 handle length will give plenty of room for double handed backhand. This sounds like the Double Black . Thanks for the review.
By your description the 16mm sounds better. I will say I like the VPPF 14mm over the 16 as the angle of reflection seems more predictable and consistent. I’d be curious what your thoughts are in comparison of the stand out 16/14 and the Vatic Pro Prism Flash 16/14 (I tend to like better than the DBD).
I haven’t played with the Prism paddles too much. Just don’t have them. However, I do think Gen2 14mm is a lot different than Gen1 14mm in my experience. As for Gen 1.5 like the Prism, I don’t think I’ve hit with a 14mm one before, so it’s hard for me to say.
I am playing with 16mm for a long time and I wanted to try a 14mm but base on what you are saying here, seems safer to stick with the 16mm for this one.
I've been following this company for a while and have been wanting to try their paddles out. I'm a big fan of 16mm paddles, so that would be my choice.
Great review. As someone who bounces back and forth between the DBD and the Hurache-X Control+, I'd love to get my hands on the 16mm CF3. If it plays the way it sounds, the other 2 paddles might become my loaner for friends/family who want to try pickleball.
It has elongated dimensions while maintaining the same hybrid shape as DBD, which makes the paddle a bit more powerful than DBD, personally I feel DBD needs a little more power, so this paddle should be right for me.
Hey Matt, great review. Thanks again for answering my questions last week. This paddle seems interesting and would love to see how it compares to other paddles I'm accustomed to. Looking forward to all the new paddles on the Horizon like the Ripple..Chorus from Honolulu and Monarch.
@@MatthewKPickleball Will do..so a buddy just mentioned to me that the Ripple just got pulled from the USAP...these Gen 3 paddles are having a rough go.
I have heard so many good things about the CF3. Between the two, I am going to go with the 16mm. I am really looking forward to trying this out and feeling what the hype is about for myself. I'm excited about a powerful paddle that still maintains a nice plush, control feel! Great review, my dude.
I was worried about the overall pop of the Hurache-X Control+ but it sounds like this hits the mark a bit better so I'd be excited to try the 16mm based on your recommendation!
These look pretty clean and definitely will be on my radar! hoping its a bit more powerful than my m2f16 that's a bit lacking for my singles. if the giveaway is still happening then 16mm all the way.
I have the Hurache X+, while I do like it, I agree that it is very poppy, more so than my wife's DBD. I would appreciate some dwell time for better control and I feel that this paddle will deliver just that! 16mm is preferred as I can generate my own power.
It’s always good to have a new company in manufacturing pickleball paddles.. Cause prices are ridiculous right for those known companies.. I would love to have the CF3 16mm if I get lucky to win.
Loving your reviews man!! Would even appreciate a little footage on the court, or maybe a bit more technical work on the paddles. But overall we’re missing a reviewer who primarily talks about the paddles play on the court & describing how it feels/hits in different areas; you’re doing exactly that & it’s super refreshing. As a 5.0 who is always looking for cheaper paddles that stand up to big name brands, you’ve been an invaluable resource! Cheers🎉 🍻 🤝
Thanks for the kind words! I’m hoping to add play footage. Trying to get a group together that are down to record and let me post footage of them. Hate the idea of setting up a camera with random folks at open play. Getting through those cues is slow enough! But I think it’s gonna happen soonish!
the 16mm. I like how its a true elongated but the aero curve might make it faster to swing (SW is still about 121) but the tighter core makes up for the loss of plow-through. Compare to power-thinking elongateds like the CRBNx and Holbrook Power Pro (both need to be $70 cheaper lol.) I have yet to try an elongated 14 mm but i feel the 14mms might be best with traditional/hybrid shapes- being lighter, they can allow for fast handspeed to take advantage of the pop but don't require that much additional lead because of their more stable shape. just my take.

How would you describe this paddle vs. Pickleball apes pro energy S?? I see EXTREMELY similar stats & construction, even the narrow cell core feels like an apes copy (& many aren’t making a core like that). I just upgraded to the Apes Energy S, love it thus far. This could be a great alternative to that paddle!
I've always loved the DBD, then the Hurache X. Very interested in the 16mm CF3. Just wish they wouldn't put the big logo in the center of the paddle face.
Thanks Mathew for the informative review of this new paddle company! Sounds like a great paddle! I would prefer to get the 16mm for the power plus control per your recommendation! Thanks!!
I’d take the 16mm for the reasons you mention. These days I agree that there’s no reason to choose the 14mm over the 16mm unless there’s a specific reason to do so. BTW, I appreciate how you consistently review lesser known paddles instead of just the latest and greatest trendy paddles. Nice work!
Thank you! I try to do a mix, but I’m a bit slower at testing than some of the other reviewers, so I can’t ever seem to be the first to get a video out on the latest release. But I’m trying!
I don’t think you’ll see that flare too much outside Vatic and Six Zero. You can do some googling, but my understanding is somebody’s a little threatening with lawsuits re: what they consider a “protected” design/shape.
@@dominionn09 The two shapes are very similar. I’ll stack them up when I have a chance and take a good look. But that rumor has been circling around pickleball internet for a beat.
Have been playing with the 6zero: these 2 paddles definitely intrigued me. I am normally a “16” person, so that is where I think I would be more comfortable. Also, with this review you are giving PB Studio are run for their money. Great job
Thank you for covering this new paddle. I don’t think we can get these types of reviews from most, so it’s fun to learn about these new companies. I prefer the 14mm myself, hope I win. 😊
Thanks for the kind words! It’s fun to find companies that get overlooked on RU-vid. Hoping as I build up my subscriber base, views will follow as well! 🤞
The six zero paddles always caught my eye especially with the Ruby so I am very interested to see how these offshoot paddles perform. I’d love to give the 16mm a try!
Matthew, I'd love to win the 16mm CF3. I applaud Lu for founding StandOut Pickleball after all she went through at the other company she cofounded, Six Zero Pickleball. I agree with you that StandOut paddles are a step up with some improvements over the DBD. I've heard CF3 plays as if the DBD and the BD had a baby. Your review has me salivating to get my hands on the CF3. And thanks Matthew for all your thoughtful paddle reviews. 😊
