Have you every had luck on the Stanislaus in Ripon? I’ve only caught a couple there since I live a block away from the river but not as much catching like it would be when I fish up Kennedy meadows or Frazier flats on the Stanislaus

I use to catch Stripers under the Ripon/Salida Bridge, when I lived on Gilbert Dr. in Ripon.

I love it brother, Nice striper! Those big one's are so illusive. My wife got spooked by one so big next to her kayak. I got a 24" yesterday in between riverbank and Modesto.

Definitely get them in the early morning but when the waters high enough they eat in the deeper holes

What direction are you going towards modest or Oakdale on the river…I was there once and jet boats racing really rocked our boat really hard. We did spot a lot of steelheads ..

Does the trolling motor struggle to move up the river there?

Yes it’s a 55 thrust my 112 even struggles when the flows are high. I highly recommend setting a float plan and pick up don’t be one of those people and mess around with the River, needing water rescue

@@pb4uriso I post videos of local water for people and kids who don’t have the luxury of owning a bass boat or a jet boat the pros out weigh the cons for those who enjoy the scenery and the potential of finding new water to fish.
