I love the way Batty does the hop, hop thing, like kids do, in the first few mins. lol Mom didn't seem to avoid and reject him in these days. :) I didn't think Dolly owned a pleasant expression, but she sure is sporting one with that cobb in her hands. So relaxing and hypnotizing to watch, don't know why. This was a great video, no drama, stress, etc just monkeying around. His mom does a great job, like the part with her, him, and his sister. I think I'm hooked so hopefully you keep em coming!
Looks like Batty got quite a whack on his head....I have forgotten how little they once were. Batty's grown into his ears it seems. They really gave him such a cute look then!!!!
It just occurred to me that half ears of corn are particularly well suited for feeding them because it can be tossed and aimed well to give to which ever ones you may choose.

Your so kind to bring treats for the monkeys, I know their great full for anything you can give them, I wish , I was there but I am so far away I would feed them also. I know it hurt your feelings not to be able to feed the other mother. There is only so much you can do. Just know that you are a blessing to the beautiful animals in what ever you can give. It's impossible to feed all of the mother's in that troop. I pray that God himself would bless you and all your needs are met, and that he gives you more than you need to be a blessing to these innocent animals while you're there. I also pray that God gives you more than you need for your loving-kindness , God is love and Jesus will always remember your beautiful loving heart. I just love your videos!!! I wait everyday hoping for a new one!!!! your the only person that I have a notification. on for.. .. lol just live how well put together they are!! instead of going to different places and video taping random babies ... we get to follow the ones you find and see how they turn out! I just love it!! you made alot of.people fall in love with a one armed monkey and a baby with huge ears!! although I live the clips of the new babies you come across!! they are so tiny!!!
Batty's mom is one of the few that I have seen that close the snack bar every once in awhile. I think that will help keep from having to change his name to Bratty.
Mr Marsico, I guess I was wrong mom still has a lot of milk . That's what I get for watching half of the video and not the whole video before I comment. Boy do I feel dumb. I have done some research on monkeys but not enough to make a intelligent comment some times. I am learning even at 58 years old . Another great work of art! This one was awesome, as usual. I think Baty's little scratch that he is sporting on his head is bothering him. I saw him reach up and touch it a couple of times. I think my favorite part of this one is at the end when Baty is swinging from the vines and they break and he falls at his moms lap. @41:44-41:50, he is at his moms lap and he is bowing his head, as if to say "Mom, I fell down, can I have a little sip, please" and Mom looks like she is indicating "NO, Baty, GO PLAY"!!! I got a great laugh out of that! Keep on sending us great videos!
I thought it was kinda funny at 9:31 she shakes another baby for smelling her treat & that baby cries So she grabs sweet little batty & high tailed it outta there!!!!
I've already told you how much I love your videos and your characterizations. So I would like to ask you how you manage to slip the corn to the various moms and such ? They don't seem to look at you like they expect you to give them more. If you could get someone to help you film that sometime, I would REALLY appreciate it!! lol Great Videos.. Please keep doing them.. they are my VERY favorites or all the films I have watched!!

I read it somewhere from the Agriculture and forestry department. I suspect 1. natural diseases, 2. maternal ( inadequate lactation ), 3. accidents ( falls, fights, traffic etc )
Mr Marsico, I was wondering if mom is losing her milk supply, I don't see batty nursing or not as much. If she's pregnant her milk supply will come back to nurse batty if she wants to. I think once she gives birth to the new born baby monkey, she will stop nursing batty. I have seen many mom's nurse both the new born baby and the older baby monkey. She is trying to wean. Baty has a few baby teeth now and I've seen him trying on grass, fruits etc - though not very successfully. Her mum will keep producing milk until he's fully weaned, in another 3 to 4 month's time.
Since no one piped in, I believe when the females are in estrus (like Hunan females have their period) they can get pregnant. So it's kind of a love signal for the males that they're "in heat" when their pink faces & bums get even pinker & brighter, and the males are always ready to mate!
I am enjoying Batty's gymnastic. I can't get enough of his pouncing around. I wish I could do that kind of jumping without breaking a bone. lol Is this mobility useful when he gets older? I noticed all the babies have this technique but they all don't " pounce" with the grace of Batty.

I use a long lens most of the time but lately I think they are getting used to my presence so nowadays I could get close to within 1 m or even closer. Baty once came to touch my fingers briefly !

I can't get over how flipping adorable the babies are, but omg what they grow into is so grotesquely ugly.....same with chimps, omg there's nothing more adorable than a baby chimp, but like I said, Lord look what they grow into lol

Arroz, please who is the mother sitting on fence @ plucking the poor baby's hair out while it was nursing. At first I thought it was Gypsy as they resemble. Maybe mother, sister, aunt. Just curious. You don't have to respond. I just haven't seen many monkeys that groom like Gypsy. Thanks. 🐒😉
she not only pulling bugs off her baby but hair also,Ive seen several mothers do this,you can see the baby jerk a few times when she does it and looking at his arm you can see a patch of hair is gone.I wonder why they do this .Is it a nervous habit or are they that hungry?
I am going through old videos for the first time and I have a question if anyone can answer it. I am wondering if the older mom that plucks the hairs when grooming is by chance Gypsies mom? Look @ time frame 28:52. Could that be Gypsies mom?
