Would also like to say that this replica looks much better than the one they made in the movie. The original van was so much better. Probably the only thing they got wrong in fairness.

they were wrecking so many trucks that they made one especially for jumps. it had the motor in the bed of the truck to balance it out.

In the series you'll notice every time they jump the van it suddenly switches to a cheapo Ford Econoline then back again for the next shot. Also sometimes the Vandura has a sun roof, sometimes not. Also this van is missing the side exhausts and running boards.

no it did have grey on the front bit where the red stipe separated the black but he has the right rims but they are both the same size and they wernt the front wheels were slightly smaller than the back and it was lowered on the front

my dad had a van that was painted just like the A-Team Van (he bought it that way). 2 big differences? his was a Ford and 4 wheel drive. I believe the rims were different as well. his were Western Turbines (same rims that were on the General Lee)painted red.

It's the same model of van used in the show and then painted and customized to make it as close to the show as possible.

+reese packer its the first thing ive seen with my own eyes.hear stuff like american froot loops and other things but live in the uk so cant really speak about that but the ateam van colours are all to pot.it was my favourite when growing up and watched a few episodes in my teens too.i dont know when it changed but freaks me out a little

yes...i am in Canada (all my life) so we got about 99% of the american media and product ...another thing ive seen is the C -3po star wars thing with the lower sliver leg..though i have checked other clips online and the leg is still all gold as i remembered it originally ..so im not sure about that one...wish i could find a old episode of the A team to see if its changed on the re runs

the mirrors are chrome two mirrors that are Mat black the ones in the tv show and movie were custom manufacture after market mirrors you got from a customer manufacture the mirrors on the van now are stock

2 things I would have done: make the engine do at least 450 hp to be able to make some burnouts and let it have the power it should have. and drop the front end a bit and raise the back, so it leans more towards the front, like in the movie.

I think the Original van was a half Ton not a 1 ton, however his still is Cool! The only thing I'd add would be a modern LS engine !

The van was not jacked up in the series. It was actually lowered with a rake and it had 50 series tires on the back and the wheels were 5 lug not 8 lug

That's what I don't see on a lot of replicas, the stance is almost always wrong (and no running boards) they get the body painted and the interior done, and it has the stance of a regular van.

In the series there was always a red decal in the back window of the van. I could never make out what it said.

Yeah, we talked about that a lot on various A-Team boards. It was a product sticker, and I don't remember what it said off hand. there is a "4 inch" wide window sticker on glass of the rear left door. It appeared first in the season 2 episode, "Recipe For Heavy Bread". The best image I've seen of that sticker is in the episode, "Semi-Friendly Persuasion". Mark Osborne took my hand drawing of the window sticker and had his sign shop replicate it exactly as it appeared on the show. I brought it to Mark's attention and he had his sign guys make it happen based off of my sketch. I don't know if Mark plans on selling them, but we now have that minor detail stored in his computer and those stickers could be printed at any time.

It appears they used the 1/2, 3/4 and the 1 ton. Not much difference from the outside except the 8 lug wheels vs. the 5 lugs. During stunts I vaguely remember a couple of Ford Econolines being destroyed also. But if trying to build a replica I personally would do the 1 ton because they are burly.

Kineticsurf is correct.. They used a whole bunch of different vans while making the show. The van was always Black and Gunmetal with red stripe and pin stripes. After season 2 they applied a matte clear over the paint to cut down the reflectivity.They used GMC and Chevy vans along with a couple Ford Econoline vans that were destroyed.

By the time they used the one ton (8 leg version) the paint was a mat finish, the side view mirrors are stock, not the same custome on the shows van, missing running boards the red stripe had a thin white pin stripes running the span on both sides , the red stripe went to the roof line at the center hub mark and sun screen on the front had the bracket ...but to a non ATeam looser geek I suppose it might pass......BTW the model behind you is not accurate either

Sounds cool for a van color. As far as the *A team* van......it was 1/2 grey and then black with a red stripe. Maybe watch this video or an ACTUAL A team show.

Doesn't he realize the 20 year old cop has probably seen the A team movie! Saying that the van gets crushed, and isn't really as significant as the 80's show.
