This is mutantly radically awesome: I mean the life-size Turtles Van and also the stylish news coverage! As a kid, I had so many toys, but the best, even better than He-Man's Castle Grey Skull, was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles war-party Van. Such a creative and commercially successful kids education line which became popular even as the 80s recession cast the economy in doubt; Excellent products can often cut through economic circumstances especially if they speak to the times.

Got to check out this van at the new Casey's General Store in Geneseo, IL this morning. It's on it's way to Detroit, MI. The 3 of us that were there are all in our 30's so we recognized it right away. Totally badass, great job.

He could of saved about 2 grand had he got it from Baxter Stockman just like the Turtles did back in the 80's. It wasn't until I rewatchrd the show as an adult that I realized that the Turtle Van is technically Baxter's van & would be considered stolen property. XD

the motor may be worn out they might not have rebuilt it id say if he rebuilds it and does a lil work to it it could get alot better mpg

jcxstargazer You also have to consider the extra weight of all the props put onto, and into the Van, which can decrease the mileage as well, sense the motor has to work harder to get too the same speeds before it had all the extra crap, that's even if the motor was rebuilt from the ground up.

Spending 20k on a shitty van?! Some people are surely insane. Also people forget or ignore the fact that the turtle's van was originally inspired by classic american Chevy and Ford vans and not the german hippy bus, it's not wide and boxy enough so it cannot be a turtle van even in a dream so forget about it. Either do it right or don't do anything at all. Still cannot believe it, some people struggle and some spend 20k on a garbage van, jesus...
