Star Citizen is VERY ambitious but still full of bugs. Playing the new missions and shenanigans with @TwoAngryGamersTV Fighting for our lives! Leave a LIKE and a comment, thanks for watching.
Hi Jack! The long reload is because you are reloading from your backpack. (You can see that from 3rd person view if youre curious..) You have to put cartidges on your armour to make reload faster.
Oh, hey jack keep in mind that when your reload takes 10 seconds, look at the icon next to the magazines. If it looks like a backpack, it means you're taking mags from your bag instead of your vest, and that's why it's taking 10 seconds rather than a normal tactical reload.
@@jackfrags Also reloading after shooting 2 bullets will leave you with a bunch of half empty magazines in your vest and backpack. it's irritating to reload a magazine with like 3 bullets in it after a while.
The game has as many features as it has bugs so its hard to determine whether its a bug or a feature. For example when you didn't have hitmarkers anymore it's because you don't have a combat helmet equipped and the long reload time is because you had no magazines equipped and grabbed them straight from your backpack.
yeah, there are a lot of things like that which are features that just dont tell you anything and make you think its a bug... and then theres doors holding you in place or elevators launching you to space.
@@ggNotSuree I don't know why he plays it. He clearly has no intention of learning anything about it. Every time he just jumps in and runs around aimlessly. lol
@@ggNotSuree I'm really confused that someone like him who seemingly regularly posts content on the game doesn't know about this new feature. It was like majorly advertised and in the big changelog page on the website. It was in my book among the most advertised QOL updates.
Can't wait for the next patch which brings server meshing. Having a whole universe running on one server is just insane. 100's of players, 100's of missions, 1000's of NPCs all handled by the same server currently. It's a miracle it currently works. When there's a server for each planet, all of these desync issues should go, like clipping into walls and things just bugging out. I tried the server meshing test a few months ago and it worked well so fingeres crossed :)
Genuinely incredibly funny to be on a massive spaceship that famously has a whole medical clinic onboard and then make Jack hobble all the way up to the ventral hangar to use the paramedic stuff on the tiny shuttle lmao
They have even toned it down. Until very recently, you were able to see your helmet's interior view from first person. They removed this for a more "cleaner look" but I personally hope they bring it back.
I’ve glitched into a wall once in the past year and here you managed to do it multiple times. It’s a desync collision issue with other players. They end up pushing you through the wall. I wish they’d fix that but I suppose I’ve learned not to run into other players so much. Great stuff as always Jack!
almost every bug here is to do with server fps, once server meshing comes online and servers are running at more than 5fps, the vast majority of bugs will vanish
He is so unpatient and pushing himself into all the animations, instead of just waiting for a second. Also as you said, standing on other players is a recipe for desaster. These guys need to chill out a little bit, since this is not call of duty, so no need to rush around like crazy and then get stuck for 10 minutes.
@@oO0Xenos0Ooso the games a broken mess and it's there fault for not treating it like a broken mess? Considering the amount of time and money that's gone into it something so basic being so crap ain't a good look.
@@glich6035 No it is a physics based game in alpha. If you ever played any simulation game in that state, you just know where they tend to break or glitch out.
@@glich6035 It’s not a broken mess. It’s unfinished. One can complain it’s taking too long, but they’re not putting a lot of effort into fixing a lot of these things because they’re still adding features which might cause them to repeat themselves and cause even more delay. Getting pushed into walls is one that I think should be fixed, but like I said, it’s happened to me once in the past year. You do automatically change your habits to avoid it. I don’t consciously seek to avoid it. That’s why some people come away thinking it’s unplayable and others play it every day. Most of the bugs are avoidable. If they’re a dealbreaker to you that’s cool, but there is literally nothing like this game out there. It’s not likely to be as popular with the run and gun cod crowd as something slower and more deliberate… like DCS or Hell Let Loose.
I once successfully matched velocity with a falling man on Crusader, the gas planet. I caught him in the rear of my Cutlass Red medical ship, he was not injured by hitting the ship. The key was going decoupled with the speed limiter set, and tapping X to brake carefully. And good server FPS.
Seen your shenanigans with the Angry Gamers.. 😅 The further the game gets, the less I am able to stop playing. My breaks from the game are getting shorter and shorter. Damn *THIS* was the kind of adventure I have been dreaming of since childhood. It takes a special game to revive that feeling.
Been loving the SC videos Jack! Glad you are having fun even with all the bugs haha! Some quick tips and how/why things work the way they are: Your reload was taking a long time because your ammo was placed in your storage rather than on your armour, so the delay is your character searching for the magazine. If you hold "I" you can open your quick inventory and just equip the ammo you need when not under fire to keep things running smooth. The sniper you were using has a charge function, if you hold down the trigger it will charge up and release a more powerful shot. Med beds have different tiers that handle different injuries, it goes like this: Tier 3 = Minor Injury (Can be healed in any medical bed) Tier 2 = Moderate Injury (Can be healed in large ship medical bays) Tier 1 = Severe Injury (Can only be healed in Space stations or major landing locations) Tier 1 injuries slow your character down to a slow shuffle regardless of where you are hit currently, if you get shot in the arm you can't fire any guns, shot in the leg you can't walk any more, both these injuries will stop you from entering any ships with ladders. Your medical gun can be switched into advanced mode, and you can inject drugs that will alleviate the negative effects. Different drugs will alleviate different effects, roxophen is usually the one to go for when you have a leg/arm injury. Combat reticle and hit markers can vanish due to bugs, but usually holstering your weapon and bringing it back can help, or switching helmets off and back on can work. Its also helmet specific, so not all helmets will give you a reticle or hit markers. If you loot a cool helmet from an AI that doesn't come with that feature you won't be able to use it until you re-equip one that does. The AI is very bad, it's now a lot better this patch, but the issue with AI is that the server can't keep up with everything in the game, AI are super delayed, players teleport or run into you because they can't see you, weapons don't reload even after the animation, etc. The next major update 4.0 will bring in server meshing (very cool and game changing tech) so we should see far more improvements in these areas once that is out. There is a bug right now with some items like weapon lockers and that fan at 30:00, only the player who activated the item can see it open, for everyone else it remains closed and cannot be accessed until the first player closes the item again. This is just a weird bug that appeared this update.
Jack, I will watch your vids until the day I die! You are amazing, and you also make quality content with great opinions and also humor! You need to keep going!
As someone who loves Star Citizen and JackFrags, it makes me so happy to see you playing this game more. Please continue to persevere through the bugs and play this game more. When it works, its one of the greatest games ever.
There's something to be said about how fun it can be to glich out in a game and try to recover. That long journey back where you could easily just restart the game or suicide but you end up spending hours slowly clawing your way back into playability. Of course, that's much more fun with friends, and much more frustrating alone.
Really great video amd couldnt stop laughing when you got stuck in the door, lol. Fair play for showing what Star Citizen can really offer it does have a lot of bugs but in the moments that the game decides to work it can be jaw dropping . Still a way to go before I would want to play it every day, though. One last thing the AI you see in the game depends on how good the server fps is at the time. I have not experienced myself, though, but apparently, when the server fps is high, the AI doesn't mess around.
ah i love the door content =) and no one was left behind "Bob" hahahahah i love it guys, how are you keep getting stuck inside the ship and the door. ONE OF BEST FREAKING CONTENT in STARCITIZEN. I was laughing entire time.
Your reloads were taking long cause you were reloading from backpack. And you didn't have hit markers cause you weren't wearing a combat-ready helmet most likely. I have noticed NPC helmets tend to be among those. Watching their body function indicators go up and down in different situations was interesting. And a *fun fact* is that you can catch your balance as you are falling when getting knocked around, I think it's RMB.
Jack, if you put the ammo on your amor slots, reload is directly. They recently added reload from backpack. But that takes way longer cuz it’s realistic to grab a mag from behind in your bag shouldn’t be very quick. Try it
It can treat up to tier 2 injuries. Tier 1 injuries can only be healed at a hospital. The small ship with a medical bed, the Pisces Rescue, has a tier 3 bed that can only hear tier 3 injuries. (tier 1 is most severe)
If you go into decoupled you can adjust your speed so you fall at the same speed as someone else. Without it the ship will keep trying to stop without input meaning the person falls past you instead of along with you
We've done one mission in like 2 hours! these are the moments that make this game incredible, people who hate on it just haven't actually tried it long enough to have fun with it
Hold i to open loot screen which let's you rapidly equip magazines to your chest rig for rapid reloading but also press alt + 1 to repack your magazines which will condense your partial magazines and refill your chest rig magazines and in a fight if the chest rig mags are depleted you'll be picking them from your backpack which is significantly slower the icons at the bottom right tell you whether your next reload will be a full or a partial magazine and whether it's coming off your chest rig or out of your backpack.
This is so entertaining, constantly glitching thru walls and having to beat each other up, catching jack flying thru space as he stretches, spaceguy69 checking in at the hospital All of it is gold
7:03 to be fair the reason you got stuck was because you stood in the door as it closed on you and with this game and it's bugs it was likely that something bad would happen
Definitely a more "fun to watch rather than play" game. Its buggy as hell, runs like arse even on high end systems and has massive periods of "prepping" and travel before anything fun or interesting Edit: Not a hate post, I still plan to play and hope to see the game improve further. The idea is grand and exactly what I'd like to see in a game. Edit: Look, I'm happy if you seem to think you "average 200fps @4k on your 2080". But I'm not going to believe you when I can't even get a steady 60fps on a 4090 and 7950x3d in anywhere but empty space 😅. I'm jumping through some tweaking hoops next week
Not to mention i doubt it’s ever actually getting a full release. The scope is just too big, but it doesn’t matter with the amount of money they siphon out of people.
There definitely needs to be faster prepping in this game. I feel like my crew and I spend more time getting things ready than actually doing whatever we're prepping for
Jack! Always gives a boost to my day when I see your videos top of my feed. I'm always starting my workout playlists with your vids. Great to throw on the tv in the home gym. Stay positive!
Some games are like that. For me that's single player horror games, but this game is special to me because watching friends have fun together is so entertaining and when I do play it I prefer to mess around by myself.
I have a golden ticket from buying into it back when it was first announced. I got the starter pack that was *supposed* to come with the game and the Aurora LX. Turns out they changed it at some point and it doesn't come with the game anymore. So yeah.
Started playing this game recently because I finally have a pc that can handle it pretty well, so far I am absolutely in love and can see myself getting way too addicted to it lmao
