I wore my 'Introverted but willing to discuss SpaceShips' shirt to Citcon and it got a lot of attention. As for Pyro, its dark for a reason. Don't turn on the lights, the dirt can follow the beam!
"To boldly go where no citizen has gone before." This is why I come here...to see sights nobody else is bothering to show. Thanks for the slow walk through awesomeness.
I played it a couple of days ago for a little bit, about to jump on right now, pyro is so awesome, i can't wait for the day it goes live, i love the feeling of not Knowing if your in for a fight or not every time you see another ship, it's going to be so awesome!
Thanks, this was a nice change. Back when the playtest ran, I pretty much immediately went to the hangars and flew off to the planets. Completely missed the detail of the station. When I returned later, people were already being griefed at the habitats and it was impossible to walk around to calmly.
21:59 Icicles. There are icicles on those air hose things. Omg. The details. I bet the airlock was foggy because of the rapid condensation. You went from a warm place to a freezing one. Like, you went from the part of the station to that is constantly in the sunlight to a place which is in the shadow all the time - so its like -100C there.
Very nice to see the range of planets. I agree that the mist is a bit off putting. I tend to play with clouds turned off which makes visibility less atmospheric (pun intended) but also much less frustrating.
The servers are less overloaded by players, and more overloaded by the sheer size of Pyro. Pretty sure Pyro is larger than their current servers *can* hold, and will require dynamic meshing for the final, complete version of the system. It is 3x larger than Stanton.
Once again, soooo tempted to boot up SC again but... I just can't be bothered with the MMO aspect of it lol. But will gladly watch any SC vids you put out! EDIT: It is a bit disappointing that the stations are the same. For me, it takes away a bit from the atmosphere their building in everything else. Hopefully just placeholder before it goes to the live servers.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to spend much time in Pyro so far, because the times when the servers are up don't coincide with my free time. Today the servers are not online at all and I have to work tomorrow morning. Maybe I'll be able to visit Pyro again tomorrow evening. But so far I'm very impressed with Pyro. The optics are outstanding. I hope to see you exploring the verse again soon.
@@glitchedinorbit Sadly, there are new operating hours for the Pyro servers and the service will unfortunately be canceled this evening. So tomorrow afternoon I might make another attempt to reach Pyro.
Hey Glitch! Thank you for the tour of Pyro ! I can't wait to get there also. Btw, I miss you streaming. It was fun to explore with you ^^ But, i understand if you dont want to live anymore ;) Have a good week !!
If the launcher is allowing me to download the tech preview, does that mean I get to _play_ the tech preview? Because the launcher is allowing me to download the tech preview right now!
It was just as janky at the con, and when I got on there were less than 20 people at the computers. A lot of optimizations are yet to happen. From server meshing to the new UIs. Was told that they also need to flesh out missions and factions for the other stations and planets. One dev said that Pyro would most likely come after they roll out the new Starengine updates. Considering that these things were all completed less than a month ago, six months is a conservative estimate for deployment. Maybe June next year at the earliest.
I stopped following any news of this mess of a game about 8 years ago, this summer I tried it again and it was the same glitchy crap. And now youtube put your video on recommended, but I don't have time to watch it. This Pyro thing is a new engine or something that will completely change the playability?
