So... You can't keep a rabid fan down, eh? Over the past several years since the Citra emulator introduced several features like: Mod loading, and texture dumping. I've felt the itch to do it again. And so I decided to take the long and arduous journey of enhancing my Star Fox 64 3D experience.
By myself.
Mostly.
Unfortunately Citra is... Rather unstable, and has a lot of problems running SF 64 3D (see the water of corneria in this video. Or how light seems to just snap around objects rather than smoothly roll over it.) Unlike Lylat Reloaded; however, there are FAR more opportunities with Citra. Like being able to use Sebastian's uncompressed audio mod for the voices.
That said, I wanted to go a bit further than just the uncompressed voice lines and have been working to slowly and painfully add remixed/reorchestrated music. There IS far more than just Corneria done, but I haven't yet received permission from the audio creators. So I can't show all that just yet. I have been working to make things a little more faithful this time around compared to what I did in Lylat Reloaded, but I have made some personal tweaks here and there where I could slip them in. Now of course this is all still extremely unfinished, and I may never actually release this; but, it was killing me to leave this work unshared. So I figured a quick sneak preview would be all well and good. As for Fox's pixel shades, those are just a place-holder for expert Fox that I fell in love with that I will probably keep as a personal mod.
Aside from that, there's also different textures for different controller layouts. So please pay no mind to the Triangle button and playstation shoulder buttons.
Once again a huge thank you to Sebastian for not only giving me permission to use his work in my enhancement mod, but helping me troubleshoot an issue where short audio tracks would loop unintentionally.
