@@DougieMonster31 I can confirm. My Stereo from college (2000 era) still works great today. It was a gift to me when I was 13. That means it's been rocking and rolling for 27 years now.
No joke as soon as I saw the scene in Picard, I started laughing, my wife raised her eyebrow in question.... I then began to explain to her the scene in s.t.4 and she jokingly said "so he already ran into spock then...." so I had to loom it up to see if it was the same guy! Excellent Easter egg really. Bravo :):):):)
The best part of this was I was watching it with my folks and we saw the bus.. paused it for a moment and we were all saying "it'd be really cool if they had the Punk on The Bus..." and then lo and behold :-D

I'm a bit new to star trek but when i saw that scene in Picard the first thing i was worried about is people going mad about how two women told a guy vibin to his music to shut up until i learned this scene is a homage to the films and in continuity as the man is just traumatized by Spock and also the fact the the band who sings this song are still together
Kirk Thatcher, Bus Punk, sung both of those songs. In ST4, they asked him to write something up, and that was it. Closest I have heard to it in regular music is Rainbows and Stuff, by Insane Clown Posse. Look it up, great song
I have never seen an LA Metro Bus so bereft of forward-facing seats. Then again, I haven't been in one of those since 1999 back in the RTD days. What's up with all the jump seats in this one? Are all the new ones like this?
I also haven't rode a bus in LA since the RTD days, but from what I have seen, that bus' configuration is pretty much standard for big metro areas wherever you go.
@@shinzakura_yt This video shows the current buses still have regular seats. The front ones are still Reserved Seating like the old days, but nicer. Spring of ‘94 I think. Her companions seated across jumped up and exclaimed to her, in my asian language, “Caridad! What’s happening to you?!” LOL, not only did the grandma have the same name as my mom, her companions had the same attitude to sudden stroke as my aunts! Lol way to ask the possibly dying person “What’s wrong with you?” I went into First Aid Mode, found her pulse which was weak, and hollered to the driver, “Call 9-1-1! I think we got a stroke here.” We pulled-over, by then we were near City Hall, and waited for the Paramedics to come. Inside I was like, “Shit this reminds me of when Spock pinched that punk. Lady don’t you croak out on me. I’m in no mood to do CPR.”
