Clint, that was a great story. Looking forward to more sci-fi randomness. I have always been a big fan of Ghostbusters, Star Trek, Dr Who, The Rocketeer, seaQuest DSV, and RoboCop. Happy New Year from Calgary.
I still think the same thing! It was sabotaged by Scotty! All I can think is that Scotty did a real good job covering his tracks and they never figured it out? I've read that in books there were other ships fitted with the transwarp engine, and after the embarrassment of the Excelsior failing to chase the run down Enterprise, the entire project was scrapped! To me, that just doesn't seem feasible! I think I have those issues of the Magazine, I'll have to look!
Something I never really got in Star Trek TNG is how Counselor Troi was able to somehow sense emotions from people on the viewscreen. Sure sometimes they're close by in another ship, but lots of times they are at least a few hundred miles away on the surface of a planet.
Oh man. I'm not exactly sure. We have a script, everyone is committed, and we're building props. It's all about scheduling at this point. It's tough when everyone has a job, a child, and lives thousands of miles away.
