Congratulations, this is an epic piece of work. You've managed to encapsulate all of the backstory that made Star Trek great. A bond beyond colleagues, beyond friends but brothers by choice not by birth. 👏👏
The "'turn death into a fighting chance to live" is a very underrated line. It's one of my favorite lines in the whole series! Whenever I'm faced with a difficult choice/task I tell myself I need to turn death into a fighting chance to live! For me, it's always a big exaggeration but it is also inspiring and gives me strength to push forward. And in my opinion Star Trek III is one of the best Trek movies! It breaks the odd numbered Trek film rule. I don't like it better than Wrath of Khan or The Voyage Home, but I do rate it higher than The Undiscovered Country and First Contact even though I still love both those films...
That actually is my favorite line. Them standing there watching the Enterprise burn is such a huge moment and my strongest memory from Star Trek. When I decided to make the vid, it was this scene I had in mind first.
ST III:TSFS is my ALL-TIME favorite Trek, episode of film. A good continuation of II, great Villain from Lloyd, Bird of Prey, Space Dock/ Stealing the Enterprise, Sarek returns, excellent score from Horner also ties the two films together well. The whole team has 0 hesitation about risking their careers, freedom and lives for *a chance* to get Spock back. Also it's both Kirk's biggest loss( Son David, Enterprise) while still at his most heroic
"Cosmic Thoughts" is a part of the same soundtrack! "The Mountain" is the first piece after the main title (they are performed together as one piece on the soundtrack). "Cosmic Thoughts" is the last piece in the soundtrack before the end credits. These two pieces have the same theme, so it can be easy to confuse them if you haven't heard the soundtrack in a while.
