Fun fact: Ewan Mcgregger got the role thanks to his uncle, who played Wedge in the original trilogy. His younger brother would later go into the RAF and became a fighter pilot. After the release of Phantom Menace, he was handed the tacname "ObiTwo"
One of the reasons Qui Gon didnt become a Council Member was because he didnt want to abandon Obi Wan with a 3rd Master. Master & Apprentice was an amazing novel!.
Actually, Obi Wan didnt use Soresu in TPM. He was using Ataru like Qui Gonn. After that fight, he realized the holes in the style and decided to focus on Soresu specifically because it was designed for multiple blaster fire, and he figured defense is defense, and learned to adapt it to saber dueling as well. Unless of course Disney changed that too.
If anyone is interested in reading “Master and Apprentice” by Claudia grey, I highly recommend it. It gives a really good insight to both Kenobi and Jinn
Lots of misinformation there regarding the lightsaber forms. The only form a Jedi was required to learn was the first, Shii-cho, while any of forms 2-6 were encouraged but optional. Form 7, Juyo, was highly restricted and an adaptation of it, Vaapad, would only be learned by a few Jedi, including Mace Windu who developed it.
Only 3 Jedi learned Vapaad, Windu, his colleague who helped him create it (I cannot remember his name) and his colleague's apprentice. He forbade himself from teaching it to anyone else though because it caused it's user to hover so close to the dark side that his partner and his partner's Padawan both fell to the dark after near mastery of it
Only one jedi ever mastered form 7. No jedi, other than Windu, were able to use and master it because it is the only form that requires the practitioner to manifest power from anger and rage and stray very close to the dark side. That's what made Windu the most powerful duelist of the jedi order, showcased when he had defeated Darth Sidious, which even Master Yoda had been able to do. Also, I have seen a naked woman in real life...
obi-wan's primary form before qui-gon's death was form 4 (ataru) taught by none other than his master. after qui-gon's death, he noticed the flaws of the form and chose to master form 3 (soresu) instead. c'mon guys it takes like ten minutes to research this
all jedi learn form 1, they're encouraged to learn other forms though, he eventually becomes a master of form 3. there is a 'master' of form 1 though, Kit Fisto.
You do realise that Star Wars content is also consumed by casual movie goers or TV show binge watchers right? and may have the potential to become new Star Wars fans moving forward, the guys who make such videos know this and that is why they make them..smh
@@enditakamweneshe6428 I expected to see things that were not shown in the main movie trilogies but in the animated shows and comics and maybe things that were changed last minute behind the scenes or how the character was originally supposed to be like.
From my understanding, they find force sensitive younglings throughout the galaxy and recruit them for the Jedi order. That’s pretty much what they do with Anakin in Phantom Menace. I don’t think there’s really any other notable family members that are Jedi other than the Skywalkers and the Solos
@@prettyred8554 I only know what is in the movies I'm sure you are correct but encouraging or allowing at least illegitimate children but discouraging family commitments makes even less sense to me
@@johntabler349 Jedi are discouraged from any strong attachments, but that doesn't stop them from having casual sex or even bending the rules and marrying (like Ki Adi Mundi did). The fear of losing a loved one is a path to the dark side so the Jedi frown upon attachments. I personally dont agree with the Jedi code, particularly in this matter, this is just the Jedi philosophy.
@@prettyred8554 promiscuous warrior monks? No wonder Obi-Wan was so fond of moral relativism. I love most things about Star Wars but the Jedi philosophy has always been a hang up for me. I choose to ignore it and enjoy the movies anyway. Forgive my argumentativness just needed to get the rant out of the system. Great day friend!
