Do you realize that the clones actually didn't fire. They could have but decided against it. Which is why Ventress turned off her lightsabers...they decided to have the fistfight.
Once you realize Ahsoka had to cope with these circunstances: - Have no one to talk to. - Beeing treated as a murderer and in jail. - Fleeing for something she did not commit. - Risked her own life sorting out her own investigation by "being friends" with her worst enemy: Ventress. - Feeling of being an enemy of The Republic. - Feeling of being betrayed by the Jedi order. There's no reason for her to unfulfill her will to abandon the Jedi order.
She later got targeted by Order 66, but saw the Clones as brothers despite leaving the Jedi and had to fight them off to survive, even if it meant assisting Rex and stopping him from killing her
I love how filthy Baris "It's so good to see you Asoka are you ok" Star wars clone wars is a lesson in life. She does Asoka so dirty that she sends her to a place that makes her even more incriminated ... a true sith.
@@ZenKrio that was always the worst part of this arc for me, Ventress regularly fought Obi-Wan AND Anakin in 2v1's, she's a skilled assassin AND at least in her early childhood grew up in one of the darkest, vilest places in the galaxy It makes no sense
@@kayjeld1813 really though, and Anikan completely stomped Barris in combat, though he'd likely easily beat Ventress with the same anger, it's still odd that she'd be taken aback by some child that's at best on Ahsokas level. At best, I can only assume that she wasnt scared because she knew who it wasn't.
@@ZenKrio I did watch the Anakin and Ventress scene where she explains that she thought it was Ahsoka coming back to say something, and how it's unusual that someone could take her by surprise and it must be a Jedi But still...
@@kayjeld1813 Bariss' own personality and training included discipline and preparedness to a high degree even for jedi. In addition to regular jedi training, it would not be impossible to think she had more control over her emotions, enough to throw off other force-users. Coupled with the fact that Ventress was confused by Ahsoka, and I think it's possible for Bariss to pull off an ambush in this, and only this, situation.
"If the tide is flowing against you, don't think I'll forget about the bounty I have on your head." *Anakin and Clone Troopers arrive* "Here she is, boys. I captured her. Me. Ventress."
@@renestadtler7747 yup, this episode came out at least a few years later. And yes, technically Starkiller used that move after Ventress, I doubt he took that move from her directly.
@@tylerjones7592 I find their lack of training, disturbing. I mean did you see that last dude raising up his BLASTER RIFLE like it's the hammer of Thor, ready to smite her, only to take a calendar year to lift the damn thing like it was made of solid lead. Meanwhile most people with a functioning brain and even using far too much force in a strike are still able to throw swings faster than that.
@@tylerjones7592 just because he arrested ahsoka (that doesn´t mean she will always be in jail) or killed fives(he disobeyed Palpatine and gave fives a chance until he rised the blaster)
Well I mean dude. They are fighting Jedi who have quicker reflexes than a clone trooper. It would have been really hard for them to actually try and predict where they are going to go. Wolffe was only useful because he knows how the Jedi move since he's served under one for 3 years. Most of those CG guys don't fight alongside force users.
@@dw4867 her first instinct was to murder all the clones with wide strikes. When she remembered she wasn't supposed to do that, she just did the wide strikes minus the killing Must be awkward to be in her place
I think she was just using blades in defensive manner in case they shot her. If they shoot she will reflect. If they killthemselves by shooting to lightsaber wielder so be it but otherwise as long as they throw fists and kicks she was gonna do the same@@dw4867
Pretty much. They probably didn't really want to capture her anyways so letting her essentially Force Yeet them all into a coma was the best way to get out of that.
@@75g53 really none of them did anything at all. Kind of the problem with this is it's not really selling what's going on, on screen. like they are fighting people in armor which is weird that's working. Also none of the troopers fired a shot or even attempted to move at anything other than a sails pace. none of them are having reactions of people actually being attacked.
@@dagonofthedepths fighting people in armor might sound weird sure, but you gotta realize that ahsoka and ventress are extremely combat trained and extremely combat capable, and are strong in the force as well, therefore it's not that surprising they can just feel out a weakspot and ko a trooper in one hit now as for the troopers moving at a snail's pace, they're trying to nonlethally apprehend both ahsoka and ventress. ahsoka since she needs to be put on trial and they can't just execute her on the spot when she reasonably poses no threat to anyone. ventress since she could be a gold mine of information for the war effort, having worked for the seperatists, and therefore the reasonable risk of ventress just offing the whole clone squad is acceptable due to the possibility of the info provided
@@75g53 Problem is they are not finding weaknesses in the armor they are hitting the breast plate and chin in most cases which, in the former is the strongest part of any kind of body armor and the latter isn't how you knock someone out. Although that last one is a little more forgivable given the context of the show. Even if they are trying to go in non-lethal, you still don't just stand there and let them pummel you. There is a ton of things they could have attempted, grappling, sticking them with the weapon, using a stun weapon. Almost all of them stood there and did nothing. Even when Ventress was grabbed most of them just lumbered into kicking range and let her knock them out. That's what I mean by this is a really bad scene for the fighting part. They are not reacting to the situation at all. even if they were fumbling around with equipment or panicking it would have been better but it's like the animators didn't have time to animate the troopers.
@@thearbiter3351 hello?? human heads are made of the same shit, their brains are gonna bounce off the walls of the skull like jell-o regardless if ur helmet is football quality or durasteel quality
Despite all the evil she has done, I fell an admiration for this women, Asaji Ventress. Who could not admire her? She is beautiful, smart, and quick not to mention how good she can fight. Who could hate her?
In military we are calling in muscle memory, he is trained well, in danger he started to aim. But he also didnt do anything else, like trying to meele, he was really suprised or did not know what to do
I just learned a terrible truth: I think Ahsoka is a sith lord. A sith lord? Yes, because consider this: she promises Ventress a full pardon, and Ventress really helps her... but does Ahsoka hold her part of the promise?
They are many things to consider, but don’t forget that barris stole her mask and her lightsabers, so even if was any trust on promises, barris simply broke any of it. And even if was any left, the discovery that barris was behind all thanks to Anakin, was until the very last moment where she was going to be accused for something she didn’t do, so probably say that ventress help her too, wasn’t going to help at all. Without mention that we don’t know if she was pardoned after all, considering the facts already told and the fact that we didn’t see the full judge of Ashoka
@@theleader7032 well, Darth Maul also died but later came back. Palpatine also believe to be dead, but later came back. So, i dont believe Ventress are truly dead
After Ashoka left the jedi order I wished she joined Asajj Ventress. This one episode they had where they were a team was a good precursor of what could have came. Tossed trainee of Dooku trained to be dark and tossed trainee of Anakin trained to be light meet somewhere in the middle. There we could have learned from Asajj how it was to be trained in dark, vice versa from Ahsoka. Come to find out they're not so different. Join together to travel the galaxy and find their place in it. Maybe pick up bounty hunting or some other cool adventure. Instead Ahsoka disappears into the wind until Rebels, and Ahsoka dates Vos and gets killed. Too bad that didn't happen 🤷🏾♂️ Missed opportunity.
I'd don't think she was considered a sith as she was a dark force user assassin similar to the inquisitors. Plus rule of 2 that Palpatine holds in high regard .
4:15 I’ve never noticed this but the clones behind the one dude who got rocked to the ground stopped and checked in on him and picked him back up. I thought that was a nice touch of detail
well, she did go on to found the rebellion against the empire with bail organa a year later (after helping evacuate an entire planet) so unlike many of the clone wars' tragic characters, I'd say she managed to bounce back quite well
Why were the Clones just standing there with their guns pointed at Ahsoka while she was kicking their asses? Assuming they were set to stun, *cough* Fox *cough* ,shouldn’t they have started shooting stun blasts at them as soon as the ass kicking commenced?
Clones are capable as the plot requires them to be, TBB being the best example Also Fox used lethal against someone armed with a blaster (that requested to drop), kinda justified even if i hated it
OmG Im dying the fact that ventress disarmed the clones GUNS ANS THEY STILL AIM AT HER INSTEAD OF TRYING TO FIST FIGHT AHAHAHAHA FIYGTNIFYFITDNTUIDTFIDTF
Ventress honestly has very little reason to help Ahsoka. She just makes herself look much worse by helping her. Also, the Jedi don't exactly have a forgiving perspective towards current or former sith. Lastly, Ahsoka even when she does clear her name has hardly any authority over the rest of the Jedi.
someone never taught these clones to not point their blaster at anything unless they were ready to use it. sure they may not want to blast ashoka so they hesitste (despite being able to use a stun feature) but ventress is fair game, former sith apprentice, killed however many clones. should have just shot her, but nah, they think aiming their guns at them despite them already beat up clones will intimidate them. they also forgot about their own hand to hand training. as an example im talking about 4:22. both of them are aiming right at her, a stun round would have subdued her.
ashoka: *we're* not going to hurt you - ventress: that does not include coverage for injuries such as concusions and fractured bones though, HAVE AT YOU!
At 4:40, the last clone takes his functional blaster and raises it like Thor's hammer to try and KO her... instead of... y'know, stun blast her? Yeah the fighting in this scene is kinda trash.
They nerfed clones for the scene at 4:00. They had multiple chances to stun both Ventress and Ahsoka, yet not a single shot was fired. Good story though.
wolf is like...general plo....the padawan that u care about...well she and ventress working together now. and remember she gave me slash to my eye, it's that ventress
