The term Jediism probably conjures up thoughts of Star Wars, lightsabers and the force in a galaxy, far far away. But for some, it's a religion, with more than 500,000 members worldwide. The founder of Jediism, Daniel Jones, and fellow Jedi, Theresa Cheung, join Good Morning Britain to debate why Jediism should be considered a religion.

Daniel Jones and Theresa Cheung kept their calm despite the ammout of disrespectful interruptions that Piers Morgan continued to use against them whenever they were about to elaborate on a question that was asked. It's obvious that Piers Morgan already had a preconceived notion of what Jediism is, and thus attempted to silence these Jedi likely out of fear that they actually had valid perspectives that he couldn't accept as a possibility, much less accept that this is the truth that is honored by all Jedi. Respect to Daniel Jones and Theresa Cheung for maintaining their stance and showing the world that Jedi can stand against harsh criticism without succumbing to the negativity that is projected upon them.

Jediism is similar to Taoism. I doubt the hosts would be so rude to Taoist priests or followers. It originated in ancient China and its scripture is the Tao te Ching, one of the most translated books in the world. The Force is the Tao, the unified field, the Akasha and the ocean of consciousness.

Something that I would like to point out: during this debate one of the people said before Sinatra real, but earlier they debated whether Jesus Christ was real how are you supposed to say that your religions God is real but another God can't be real, that is hypocritical and that is exactly what they were arguing against earlier

While Jesus was likely a real person that lived (personally I think he was just a smart man. Smarter than those around him. Like a con man) but in the Jedi believe the force is basically God.

It is a fact he's a historical figure multiple Jewish and Roman historians wrote about him not only that events like Jesus's baptism and crucifixion have historical evidence

There are written records about Thor, Zeus, Achilles, etc. but that doesn’t mean they actually existed. Do some research and you’ll quickly find there is literally no evidence to prove Jesus ever existed. Jesus was a character invented by the Roman Empire designed to control a population they believed might become a threat.

The Catholic started saying let's not discuss the historicity of Jesus. So tolerant! There is no evidence that there was a historical Jesus. In the words of Pope Leo X: What profit hath not that fable of Christ brought us!

I really don't like opinionated people who impress themselves on others. If someone believes in something and they aren't harming or offending anyone. They should be allowed to. I'm a Christian, and piers is showing the same attitude that all Christians had to fight centuries against before the Romans started following the Christian faith. Added to this only a few hundred years ago were Catholic persecuted and this is Piers attitude. He his not showing the Christian values that matter so deeply. Also, if you look at many faiths, they believe in one god. Not that god is the only god. If anyone has seen the new Netflix mini series on Moses will understand this.

There is no proof he existed pitsife of the gospels I terms of convincing physical evidence. I mean as the song god as there were a loy of prophets leaving relideons but the one led by hesys was the most successful. The gispels cannot br verified as history as they were written by believe and are not first hand accounts.

What a disgraceful interview. The force is not “made up,” it is what you make it. Whether that is a “real” deity or not. Christian, Jewish, or otherwise. What is more important is Jediism is a philosophy and a way of life. And we all have a lot to learn from it.
