Ohh the irony when the ps2 version has better Vader boss fight and soundtrack for it than the pc/ps3 version. I mean, like holy shit Vader actually fought you with his lightsaber, he used force powers, kept on coming. The prettier version - he just stands there, takes a couple of swings at you then leaves the room.
Other than graphics, the PS2 version was the vastly superior version of the game. Especially the scene where you pull down the star destroyer. In the PS2 version he actually stops it. The PS3 version though literally has him jump out of the way because he isn't able to stop it. There are dozens of other examples that make the PS2 version the best as well, but it would take me forever to go over all of them lol.
I remember how epic and difficult this fight was on the ps2. It literally took me forever to bet Vader and then Sidious was even harder. Also this is one of the if not the best Star Wars games ever
@@firestriker3580 What they mean is there are multiple versions of this game, the game had two radically different versions. The one on Wii and PS2 is imo superior to the one on Xbox and PC etc
I played the Wii version growing up so I was so disappointed to reach this part of the 360 version and find not only a less cool fight, but they also just had all of Vader's armor be blown off at once in the QTE rather than be slashed off bit by bit as the battle progresses like in this version.
I think the armour comes off too quickly in the fight (look at Vader when his health is at 75%, the cape's pretty much gone at that point despite his health still being pretty high) but having it actually get destroyed during the action is so much cooler.
Those force and lightsaber clashes were quite literally unbeatable in the PS2 version wtf, that furious button mashing will probably cause me arthritis some day
Fresh Doge Absolutely agree. better graphics on Xbox/Ps3, WAY better gameplay on Wii. the engine was way more fun, the story was longer, and there were more cool boss fights
The amount of hype I had for This battle was incredibly high. My brother especially, having all the upgrades, literally was like ‘Ohohohoho, It’s on, you about to get THESE HANDS’
Much better fight than the remastered editions, better boss fights too, and Vaders Power was properly shown, not like the remastered version that stood still and let you hit him.
Man I remember how stressful this fight was I got so desperate near the end and tried just throwing shit at vader whilst avoiding him and trying to use the environment design to my advantage. Then I had to fight palpatine who was also a pain in the ass due to how small the room was
Honestly if luke wasn't vaders son. Luke would've gotten bodied in return of the jedi. Its pretty obvious vader held back in the movies when he encounters luke lmao. Shows how string starkiller is. Vader could care less about killing starkiller so he probably went full power but even that still made him struggle. Remember vader was once anakin had the most midochlorian count and with his missed potential he could've been a demigod.
