Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is Respawn's attempt at a single-player game in a galaxy far, far away. It's actually pretty unique, and might actually be more mysterious than expected. We've jumped in, here's some stuff you need to know!
Returning the ship after the first tomb was pretty easy. Just head straight forward from the tomb into the ice caves. One of the elevators in there takes you straight to the cliffs next to the ship. The after the second tomb.....that one did take some time, but another event happened in between that I won't spoil for anyone so there was that.
The main problem is that if you get lost on a level, you can end up going in circles. Frustrating circles that drag the game on and on. Also, trying to get back to a location is a bit tricky unless you have a photographic memory because some areas don't "appear" to be bi-directional and that can cause you to end up lost in space. My advice is to be OBSERVANT as you decipher your paths along your way to the objective.
@@Byrenious Can't speak for OP but I don't play open world games very often and, tbh it took me a while to really figure out how useful the map is. Think I was on my second visit to Zaffo before I got the hang of it. It might seem dumb, but if you're used to more linear gameplay it doesn't always feel very intuitive. And if you aren't used to using a map then the worlds can feel like a labyrinth at times.
You can also get the double edge once you return from Zeffo. Instead of Kashyyk, go back to Bogano, use new abilities to reach two more stims for BD-1 and the double edge in one of Kordova’s work benches
I figured this out by accident after fixing my scomp link and then heading to Bogano and exploring, way easier than the route in the video...exploration always pays off folk...souls lessons
What I hate is when your trying to get back to your ship but miss a jump and land on one of those giant slides that lead to the other side of the planet
FUCK IM GOING THROUGH THIS RIGHT NOW> FUCK ZEFFFO>When i was done and i found out the scomp link is there i look at mymap ....then said FUCK THAT and went to the ship
The “first stim” you mentioned isnt the first one that’s possible to get. After you’ve unlocked the wall run you can go back to where you met BD-1 and go forward instead of right when you climb up the branches. You can then wall run to the other side after running past the crabs. There will be a hole you can jump down to get the first aquirable stim
@@realkarma9403 that was me the first go round 😂 I'm currently on my umpteenth playthrough, and I only just learned of Target Lock Jumps, so I understand 😂
I got through dathomjr the hard way with no knowledge because I wanted to go to dathomir first. I fought through every enemy and eventually made it through. Really prepared me for the rest of the game.
If you really made it through Dathomir early... brah you PLAYED the game, LOL. The rest of the levels are meant to prepare you FOR DATHOMIR. The Nightbrothers are way more competent Melee fighters than the stormtroopers, as are the Nightbrother archers. There's a reason why Dooku hoped to recruit Mother Talzin to the Separatists; it would have added the Nightbrothers to his army. More than likely several of them were Force sensitive to a degree, just not as much as Maul or Savage. It was actually a relief to go back to fighting Imperials on Ilum, LOL.
I fall through 2 elevators. Sometimes the ship in hyperspace. Fall through the world to bottom where I sometimes can't find a place to fall. And it freezes my CPU. I am 97% on every planet with new journey +. And saying all that...love the game.
I recently finished the platinum trophy for this game on PlayStation, and boy did I LOVE this game. My only complaint was the lack of fast travel. Repeatedly walking through the entire levels of a map was stressful as hell.
yeah wtf, i thought i got the lightsaber way too early because i only had the skills unlocked and much later i unlocked skills to improve the double lightsaber
Fun fact: while dathomir isn’t hard even in the beginning, you don’t have to run like shown here. Go to Zeffo, get the force push, then straight back to bogano. There you can find Ino Cordovas room where you also get the fouble bladed lightsaber with a piece of dialogue. Essentially you find Cordova’s emitter and you feel comforted carrying a piece of him on your quest.
Maximiliano Guerrero V. I already defeated all those enemies, without running, before watching the video. They even cut you off before the enemies get REALLY cheap.
I know I’m way late on this game. But there is a setting for automatic climb. Turn it on. Big help makes the game way more smooth and enjoyable Don’t know why if you’re hanging a wall you would have to push a button to keep hanging a wall Maybe if you put out a revisit bc of the sequel announcement you should add it!
Someone probably shared this, but just for funsies: You can actually get 4 healies for your feelies early on. On Bogano, before returning to your ship and after acquiring the Wall Run ability, jump along a left platforming path that descends into a bowl of crabby enemies. Fight or fly past them through the wall running section to find a platform with a big hole. Angle the camera and either jump to the nearest ledge or safely climb the vines down. Don't miss because not only will you miss the crate with the addition med vial, you'll have to run through the level to get back here, and then run through everything to get back to the ship. If successful you'll have 3 vials before you to Zeffo and get the extra heal in this video, which upon acquiring will net you 4 healies whenever your feelies are lower than Bantha poodu. And that's my addition to this, hope it helps someone. I'm eagerly awaiting the sequel due out in March!
You can also get the double Saber on Bogano pretty early. You need force push and the scomp link (which you described above), so it's not quite as early but it's SO much easier. It's in the Abandoned Workshop bout halfway up the circular staircase
Fun fact. You can get the double sided lightsaber on the planet after Zeffo too. I don't remember the exact location, but I'm playing the game again and I found it there. When you're making your way up the giant tree, look out for a lightsaber upgrade station.
You can actually get the double lightsaber in the Abandoned Workshop on planet Bogano right after your first trip to Zeffo. It's a lot easier too and not as much running.
Actually it is the first upgrade of the lightsaber so it will pop up on any planet visited in the right order :D But I was also pretty shocked bout Dathomir, which I still haven't seen and had rest of the planets at 80% at least :D
For newbies finding this: single blade does singnificantly more damage than double blade. Dblade is only better if ur going against 3+ enemys or if ur using ur force using attack( counterpart to the overhead slash for sblade). But against bosses or minibosses lile the purges, use singleblade
One of my favourite aspects of the game aside from combat are the soundtracks, they're emotional when they need to be,they're iconic when they need to be and at some parts of the game they're even scary as well when in regards to the second sister boss fights,3 of the soundtracks that get me most emotional is the soundtrack that you hear in the main menu, the order 66 soundtrack and the soundtrack that you hear when you're about to build your lightsaber
Yooo I swear when I was at Ilum and built my lightsaber, the soundtrack that came after that was hyping me so hard I shed a tear when Cal took down scout troopers with his new ability lol
@@PVCGunita Yooo! Yea! There's a portion during Ilum just after building your new lightsaber where you fight like 4 Scout Commanders, a few Stormtroopers and a Baton Purge Trooper. I had such a blast combining saber attacks with Force abilities that afterwards I teared up from how pumped and stoked I was that it felt that good to play a Star Wars game. Take into consideration I got love for ALL the old Legends content and despise the last three episodic films. Happy to say this game kinda brought me back into the fold.
I fought him without healing itens and upgrades in the beginning, just to not being able to open the crate. When I returned to the planet with the hack hability, I got the most shit poncho of the game... at least was funny. Kkkkkkk
I got the double bladed lightsaber upgrade early, and my favorite thing was in the fight with the Ninth Sister, when she turned on the second blade on her lightsaber, I did the same with mine and screamed, “Let’s GOOOO!!!”
OMG I did the exact same thing I literally said "Oh yeah? I can do that too, bring it!" 😂 I love that videogames allows us to play this fictional roles and feel like we are actually in the game
Another tip I'd give about the skill tree is, there's a skill you can unlock in the combat section that allows you to perform what's basically a dash attack. GET THIS SKILL. Combining it with the dodge and sprint controls, it will allow you to get in quickly, do some damage, then get out fast.
My favorite thing about this game is when you just start to realize something doesn’t feel right you immediately get an upgrade to deal with it and it feels amazing
I beat the game a few hours ago. I just now learned there are stim upgrades. Finished the whole damn game with only 2 stims. God would've been so much easier.
I had three (I stumbled across the Zeffo one in this video and thought it was a one off) when I completed the story. Due to all this issolation I decided to go exploring (I've explored Bogona, Illum and Zeffo fully and mucked around on the other two) and now I have 8. I only rest when I travel between planets now.
You don't need to go to Dathomir asap to get the saber upgrade. Just go the Zeffo and complete your objective there. Than go back to Borgano and search for an abandoned workshop, there you'll find the upgrade. And you won't need to Leeroy Jenkin's your way through enemies who are 10× your level.
I went to dathomir first (without realising it was too hard) and for some dumb ass reason spent many hours fighting my way through that section on Grand Jedi master difficulty, it was painful but I think I thought it was meant to be like that as I loved playing sekiro. Plus I got the double bladed lightsaber
I got it the way I think is most intended, abandon workshop on zeffo. Just playing through and found it, not trying to find it. I personally didnt care to find it, my standard saber is just fine
Easier instructions for Dathomier. After existing the ship follow the path, climb on the the open area, turn LEFT, along the edge, you find a little cave/hideout/think which is basically just a rain save space. Climb it and you are on the path to the bothers temple/palace/think. Go past the brother guards, now there is essentially just one way to follow. you can talk to the traveleer but if you turn around there is the workbench. No "turn right, climb, climb, wall run, turn around, jump, etc" and you are not even near the guards yet. Just "turn left, untill you find something to climb, climb it, follow the path to the left (not towards your ship though), and just straight on follow the way until you meat the old man".
A tip is that you can find a stim upgrade even earlier right after you learn to wallrun on Bogano. Where you first meet BD-1 above the bridge he puts down, head towards the path you aren’t supposed to go at the very beginning and you will be in an area leading towards a wall running section. Head past it and down a hole in front of it and open the yellow chest for a stim upgrade.
I always go to Dathomir first, for the double-bladed saber. And run as Bravely Bald Sir Robin. Two+ stims will do it... Funny thing is you're saved by the cutscene here if you go to the "old guy" first: the last nightbrother who chasing you while chickening out, remains squirming in the air at the top of the stairs (like the falling animation). Go get the saber then you can try it right on the still yelling brother. "When danger reared its ugly head, He bravely turned his tail and fled."
Deadliest to me is 100% ninth sister I’m on boss level against her and I can’t beat her. I mastered the ability to bead up the horned slugs just hold Y and backup then repeat in three hits.
I keep reading you should get the double saber at dathomir right away, but you can also get it on the first planet after you've been to zeffor. Without needing to run through 1k enemies you can't defeat. Feels way more natural and you won't need it before
Here's my tip for Zeffo: Find some way, any way, to get into the ice caves. Look for any possible ice slide you can that takes you underground. In the Ice Caves there's a lift that takes you straight back to the landing pad.
Going to Dathomir first is insane! It’s so much easier to get it the other way. Once you complete the first tomb on Zeffo make your way to the monument section and you’ll be able to access a new area thanks to your abilities. Inside the Imperial structure you’ll find a workbench with an upgrade for BD. Return to the Mantis and take the option of returning to Bogano. Once there make your way to the hidden workshop area, use BD’s new upgrade to get inside and access the workbench inside to acquire the upgrade for your lightsaber
This might seem odd but I actually enjoyed the Grandmaster difficulty more than just Master. The timing of everything, even though you had to be much more precise, was quicker and more fluid to me. Probably not many people felt that way, or even tried grandmaster, but that was my experience with it.
Actually, for the double lightsaber, you’re able to acquire the double lightsaber on the first planet you go to after facing the Inquisitor for the first time. It’s actually more easier than the way you explained and displayed it
@@hariodinio I thought it was more like the tomb raider series. I mean, the skill tree is literally taken straight out of tomb raider. And also the platforming sections as well.
You can also get the Double Bladed Lightsaber upgrade on Bogano, though Dathomir allows you to get it early! I actually got it on Dathomir as I explored it first (I was playing on Story Mode as I usually start with the easiest difficulty then work my way up to the harder ones. Also not a Souls-like player.) The game definitely reminds me of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow as the platforming and climbing sections really remind me of that game.
Cere advised me how dangerous dathomir was and avoided going there until I needed to. She advised me to go back to Bogano when she told me dathomir was available and found the scomp link and the double edged light saber and 2 extra stims also.
You can definitely beat the enemies on Dathomir. And you don't really need instructions on how to get to the light saber... Once you turn right for the first time. It's basically the only path you can take. You can't get lost.
dude amen i was on kashyyk with that group of three of them and was like like "wait i wonder" and expiremented xD otherwise never woulda realized it lmao
@@snuzigames nah i would just jump dodge outta the way, figured i could send everything else back at them why not rockets. not being shitty dude, just used to a style of play xD no need to be salty lmao
Talkimg about Dathomir “avoid the enemies, you can’t beat them right now”. Man, you underestimate the amount of times I’m willing to die to get to that double saber lol
I constantly went back to previous planets after unlocking new abilities, I got a bunch of cool skins and saber upgrades right away (you can upgrade to a double blade on bogano in one of eno cordova's secret workshops after you get certain abilities)
Just started and was bold to start at Jedi Master. Once I turned on the performance option like you suggested the game got quite a bit more playable. Thank you
On my first plathrough of the game, I got so lost on Dathomir that I found the double sided lightsaber upgrade after 30 minutes of running in circles. It was great
I of course went straight to Dathomir once it was available; got my ass beat HARD by that whats-it-called beast towards the beginning, and knew I needed to get stronger, lol.
@@nahor88 first play through went to dathmoir first cuz it seemed cooler. One of the hardest parts of the game for me lol minus anyone in a black suit. I sad quite so many times. Sad quit died so much it was depressing and ego shattering
Yeah, i also went to dathomir first (without even knowing the double sword thing). I dont know how, but i mannaged to get to the old guy killing everybody after 2hs of dying against those green darthmauls
Dathomir was hard but it was a lot more rewarding too. You basically unlock the doublebladed lightsaber in the beginning making dealing with a bunch of stormtroopers a piece of cake.
Same. Idk how but I pretty much beat any enemy I saw. I didn't know I wasn't supposed to go there first. And I played on the 2nd highest difficulty and occasionally switched down when it got harder.
Just bought this one on sale. Enjoying every minute of it so far. What I like most about it is it is super optimized to infinity. I have a potato pc and it's running at 60 fps at high settings. Beautiful experience.
Im playing on jedi master now after playing a third of the game on knight... and unlike he said I do a TON of dodging, very little parrying. maybe mechanically its not the best way to fight but I find it to be more smooth in the timing and I have a lot of success with it. Also the range is pretty good on it because sometimes I find myself to far away to counter attack after my dodge (thats the only flaw I see with dodging vs parrying) Lastly when dodging properly you target the enemy and dodge/roll around them not away. This way the enemy now has their back exposed
That moving wall where you have to push then climb up but pops back open too effing fast. Tried that for about 30 minutes before remembering I had force slow and could use slow and push. 😂
I did Dathomir after bogano and it was hilariously hard but I struggled through and did as much as you can that first time. I think that struggle really helped me do better
I actually went to Dathomir on my first playthrough, Jedi Master, with 2 max stims. And I did it pretty well, not gonna lie. But yes, if you don't have much experience in action games, avoid Dathomir at all costs.
I went straight to Dathomir cause mama didn't raise no bitch. Then I had to shamefully return to Zeffo because I needed that stuff to get past that one section on Dathomir.
Lol I chose dahtomir but I didnt even got off the ship something told me that i was going to get my ass handed to me big time so I got the fuck out of there
Went straight to Dathomir because I thought all open world game are the same, but here on fallen order exploring and chest opening gives you NOTHING but cosmetics..
Thanks for the tip for the double light saber for anyone who is new I recommend wait until you get the Jedi pull ability then it will be much easier dealing with those aggressive warriors.
e3musicmanAK those purge trooper were soooo annoying thats why when i saw an edge or a pit i was getting reallyyy happy to get rid of them with one hipity hopity force push😂
Is it just me or is this game very much like God of War if Kratos was a jedi? Like you do a lot of parkour, then you fight enemies with unlocked abilities, and every so often get in a boss or mini-boss fight.
I'm currently running through it for the first time. Makes sense that it'd be considered a Dark Soul-esque time game because there are a lot of enemies that are quite challenging. I've learned that saber throw and vantage points can make some very difficult encounters rather manageable.
I found the Dathomir thing all on my own honestly the game lets you know where you haven't been. Just work through the levels and you will find the secrets on your own.
When I found it I had that ooooo moment I heard nothing about it before and honestly I went there first and it was a massive omg look at that I’m Darth maul moment
Dude I went straight from Bogano to Dathomir and STRUGGLED but if you do make it you eventually meet "The Wanderer" being Malicos, and he tells you that you're not powerful enough to complete the challenges ahead.
Tell me about it. A good 50% of my play time is from me going to dathomir instead of zeffo after the first world and just trying to beat the first two brothers
I just started this and let me just say it's a love hate relationship. Each planet is truly aMAZEing with branching pathways, and shortcuts and hidden areas. I swear sometimes I forget where i'm going because the objective is only on your map and you cant set checkpoints. I do hate double backing just to find a new undiscovered route or item because i couldn't unlock it without a certain unlock found on another planet
The double bladed saber can be achieved by visiting Bogana, (I think that’s what it’s called, it’s the planet with the holocron vault) before you even go to Kashyyyk the first time
@bec hiscock In the Abandoned Workshop on Bogano, there’s a workbench. You'll need Force push to get inside. By interacting with the workbench, you’ll earn Eno Cordova’s lightsaber sleeve which will create the double bladed lightsaber
This game needs a fast travel to the meditation points imo...the maps are huge and a bit confusing to be honest. Especially when there are like 4 floors that layer on top of one another
It would be easier with teleportation BUT with how much i played the maps (in order to 100% them) i ended up remembering most of the key routes .. the holomap helps too if i forget anything.
@@6Rock6God6 That i can agree with .. at time its really hard to understand where u exactly are unless u zoom in all the way and focus on the routes u took.. Well hopefully in the next game they give us a better version of it.
Everything you said about this game being a unique culmination of From Soft titles is absolutely correct. The biggest reason I love this game was the combat: wielding a lightsaber and using Force abilities together was so satisfying to play. Can't wait for the sequel.
As someone who is new to these types of games, For difficulty I found that Jedi master for every enemy and then bosses use Jedi knight or even story depending how much you struggle
As always, great content Falcon. 1st play through I’m on Jedi Master difficulty and it’s to easy. 2nd play through I’ll up the ante and try Jedi Grand Master. Favorite game by a landslide this year and looking forward to doing a replay unless AC VI comes out before I beat it my first play through.
Finally got around to playing this game. What the game tells you: Inquisitors and Purge Troopers are scary. What the game doesn't tell you: A big goat and a couple of rat bois in a tight space will destroy you so hard your ancestors will feel it.
@@callmequaz9052 I am just unable to get the timing parry on Grand Master Difficulty. Like, unable. I started to play in Master difficulty and I found the game too easy. I need just the perfect balance of Master and GM for parry timing :)
@@callmequaz9052 How the hell do you parry him? I can easily parry the humanoid enemies, but animals give me a really hard time. The timing is so weirdly late
@@lred1383 it just takes practice. I played a lot of Dark Souls, so maybe that helps because parry times can be hard to get used to for some enemies there, but for the most part every enemy has a tell that indicates when you should parry. On lower difficulties it's more forgiving, but on GM you have to be very precise. I dont remember the tell for this guy, but I know as soon as he begins his swing, you have a choice to either dodge, or parry. You'll take too much guard damage blocking, and when you do parry he will counter very quickly after. To parry the counter, I think you can see a slight wind up before he lunges again. If it's too difficult, I think he often leaves himself open after attacking because of his over aggressive lunges, so you can just keep dodging and whittle down his health, blocking if you feel like you cant dodge in time.
@@RaevenKS mate, I struggled alot on GM. I'm the same, after learning the game, Jedi Master wasnt too bad. Hard, but fair. GM is quite a leap on challenge though, you need a really good understanding of the game to survive.
Thank you sir. I didn't want to watch this whole video only to hear about stuff I already knew. Now you confirmed my suspicion and I can waste 10 minutes on something else.
Hey gameranx! Just started playing Jedi Fallen Order and I must say, as a EldenSoulsBorne veteran (that's not a thing yet but it's coming), I was, and still am, pleasently surprised. I heard it was good and decided to give it a shot and wow! The gameplay is usually very tight. I'm not the best at parrying so I had to lower the difficulty (haven't played Sekiro yet) but even so, I find the challenge to be very satisfying. Anyway, thanks for the tips Falcon!
There's actually a lot easier way to get the double sided lightsaber. Once you can Force Push, go into the cave thats right under where you land on Bogano. Once you push the giant ball into the socket, a stim chest and a workbench where you can get the upgrade will become available.
You can actually just push down a bridge with force push. You should remember it on first time, but it s on the map in green. There’s a chest right after the bridge, then you just follow the path and there’s a room with a bench and you immediately get it. So much easier than dathomir
@@radstaz2029 No joke just now playing this game got to Dathomir said screw this planet and took off to the main mission planet after Now gonna try this
Yeah when I played this for the the first time ever, I got the double-sided upgrade on Bogano at the workshop. There was a cutscene too when you find Eno Cordova’s emitter and Cal adds it to his lightsaber.
@@yienmaster04 More like... The game is only respawning me a few hundred feet (if that) from where I died. There's no logic reason for it to sit there and reload the entire fucking level for a respawn. No other modern game that I've seen has taken that long with the exception of GTA Online, but the game has its reasons for that. Star Wars has zero reason to reload like that.
No fast travel or waypoints are super frustrating. Im surprised no mention of the similarities between this game and shadow of the tomb raider. I felt like this was that game but with the force and lightsabers. A little more focused on story, less helpful items and the only consumable is a stim shot though so i must say i liked tomb raiders gameplay more. It is a fun game though, liked all the tidbits of storys you can find in the echoes. Sorry i know im super behind on the times. Didnt even know this game existed until the new one came out
The first stim upgrade actually is found on the first planet, in the cave where you learn the wall jump and guarded by an Oggdo, but you need to reach it from above (the crate is on an upper platform), it doesnt require upgrades, you just have to explore a bit!
