Or you can just take a mold of the whole figure and cast a new one with the wire inserted. I mean if you already have mold making and casting skills :)

Could you use aluminum foil instead of that flat, metal thing you used?

I’ve seen other tutorials use a resistor in the circuit, why did you not use one?
@bellycuda
@bellycuda 5 лет назад
It depends on the LED color to some extent, but if you don't use one, you are gonna regret it when you blow the LED and have to try and fix it up.

What is the reason you used copper for one wire and tin for the other?
@pushthelimitled7954
@pushthelimitled7954 5 лет назад
The copper tape is very thin and did not add height to the stack of coin battery and magnet. I used a tin strip because it has springy-ness. i can slide the battery to contact the tin strip and it will stay touching more consistently during use.

PushTheLimitLED thank you that helps, I’m going to try that technique for my next models for hiding the battery. I previously used a lily pad under the base, but your method is much more subtle. Thanks for the Video!

What type of tin sheet do you use? All I can find is steel.
@pushthelimitled7954

They are the tin sheets you find at hobby lobby

How can you determine the color? :o this is amazing!
@pushthelimitled7954
@pushthelimitled7954 Год назад
The color is determined by the color of the LED used. In Luke’s case I used a green LED.

@@pushthelimitled7954 hey! Thanks for reaching out! I recently found your Etsy. Are you taking commissions by any chance? Or do you have some links to some of the materials you used?

Hi, brilliant mod. Could I ask where you get the thin fibre optic as I only seem to be able to find 3mm which looks much to thick, thanks.
@pushthelimitled7954
@pushthelimitled7954 6 лет назад
i bought the 2mm from an ebay seller. you can also find it on amazon.com

I don't know what kind of fiber optic you're using. I got side glow 2mm and it looks nothing like what you've done. Zero illumination.
@pushthelimitled7954
@pushthelimitled7954 2 года назад
Sorry to hear that! Can you confirm it’s the 3mm side glow? It’s actually 2mm fiber with a plastic coating which makes it 3mm in diameter. I purchased mine from eBay so it’s possible that different manufacturers have different results.

Gonçalo Cardoso the battery under the base slides making and breaking the circuit. This is effectively the on off switch.
