In the search for arms and artillery, Captain Rex brings the rebels to an old abandoned base from the Clone Wars. They quickly find that they're not alone, however, and must once again face enemies from the past.
I remember reading somewhere that the armors had different concepts. Gen 1 armor either held or didn't - if it held, the clone lived and continued fighting. If it didn't - he died. No middle ground. Gen. 2 and 3 armors had lower deflective ratings, but much higher survival ratings. Basically, if you're hit - you're almost always out of commission, but you'll live.
stormtrooper armour is designed to dissipate the energy of a bolt whilst clonetrooper armour tried to block the shot. If a clone got shot, they either died or lived but if a stormtrooper gets shot most if not all of the time they are they get incapacitated but not killed. To kill them the best way is to double tap.
If I recall, (Unsure if its still "canon" or not) Stormtrooper armor was designed for different purpose. Stormtrooper Armor was completely Bulletproof (Bullet weapons, or "lead-throwers" were common weapons for defense against local wildlife, but blasters were considered military-grade and uncommon/expensive/illegal for normal people. As such, Stormtrooper armor was to fight against poorly equipped civilians, not a well armed military. Also, since Stormtroopers were normal people put through training, and didnt have imediate replacements, it was focused less on direct protection and more on overall survivability, by dispersing impact rather than deflect it. It caused blaster shots to knock out soldiers, but not kill them, so the soldier could survive to ID the attackers, and the soldier would continue to serve so the soldiers training wouldnt go to waste. Another thing about the armor (not protection-wise) that I find funny is that it is supposed to be temperature regulated (severe extremes required specialised armor) and contain hydration and such (think camelbacks for modern soldiers) But in the new movie, Finn lands in a Desert and his first instinct is to strip off the air-conditioned, hydrating armor... So IDC if the "survival" bit isnt Canon anymore, or if Finn was just an idiot....
I wish there were super battle droids and commando droids and this either way this episode made me somewhat like Rebels and really put a smile on my face by bringing back the battle droids
Actually Temeura Morrison is only 5’7” so that’s how tall the cones are. And Kanan is listed as 1.91 meters which would make him 6’3”. So the height difference is pretty accurate.
Y’all might disagree but the sheathipede class shuttles, which are one of my favorite ships, were one of the best looking but most underrated and unused ships during the clone wars. So happy they made an appearance in Rebels as both an escape ship for the droids and rebels as well as the new phantom II
Am I the only one who notices how protective Kanan is of Ezra when the destroyers come? He doesn’t wanna lose Ezra, and I love how much he cares about Ezra☺️☺️
@@themasked_senshi4521 agree lol the clone wars was in my eyes one of star war bear moments in there history as they do a cheap fight to attract fans from Star Wars the clones wars.
