Barris most likely aged heavily due to her extensive use of Force Heal, which gives up some of the persons own life force for others. The dark side actually makes people decay and age quicker, like you saw with Palpatine and Dooku

The ending was nice, seeing Bariss talk Lyn out of the darkness in the cave and Lyn coming back into the out of the cave!

I don’t know if you noticed or not, but the Jedi was using some lightsaber techniques that Ashoka would be familiar with, which is why Barris bested him in the duel

I wouldn‘t specifically say Lyn didn‘t change physically due to the Dark Side… different species in Star Wars just age differently… and have different lifespans

Never thought I would get that emotional because of Barriss Offee after they turned her dark in Clone Wars (in comparison to Legends, were she‘s a Jedi-Healer during the War), but they did it with her arc now! Tales of the Empire is clearly inferior with its characters to Tales of the Jedi (Dooku and Ahsoka are just the better characters with the more interesting stories), but getting an updated model of Grievous was cool and finally, after 12 years the end (?) to Barriss‘ story… animated content from Star Wars never really disappoints if you don‘t regard Resistance… which no one does 😅

I think with immediate attention Barriss may live.

11 years of waiting for Barriss's return... We get the most anti-climactic and confusing death scene that might not even be a death scene. There is no scene of her wound being healed, no frewell, or a funeral. There are only empty suggestions and speculations. There are no answers, so the results are: Half of the fans believe she survived Wookieepedia does not confirm her death The voice actress herself cannot say whether her character died (What's the point of death when a significant number of fans don't believe in it?) This is the most ridiculous open ending. My question is: Why? (Ironically after Attack of the Clones, fans asked what happened to Barriss (Because she wasn't in Revenge of the Sith) After the Clone Wars, they asked the same question And now again, only this time, did she survive?) If this is a death, it will completely ruin Barriss's potential, and instead of feeling sadness, fans were confused. They will feel cheated. Additionally, this death won't make sense because, sorry, but Barriss is a healer and an excellent one at that. If the silly Reva could survive without any explanations, a beloved character like Barriss cannot be just an example of dying from being stab by a lightsaber. Moreover, what would be the point of this story? A character can die, but only when it makes sense. Here you have Ventress's return to life and Barriss's death after 3 shorts? Both characters returned to the screen after 11 years. (Plus Currently, I think Barriss has a lot to offer, now maybe even more than Ahsoka.) If she survived, she would be another character in the collection of those surviving a lightsaber stab, but this time it would at least make sense. Well, they had no idea for a good ending and checkmated themselves. Brilliant idea.
