He was forced to the darkside because he was hated and feared by his family. He killed his family in a jealous rage when they forced him off world. He was torn to shreds by the dark side it would make sense why he be so consumed by it as the emperor. Tenebrah on the other hand was just pure evil at the start. killed his mother father and then his real father and then he killed a entire planet once he realized the war was over. Vitiate is impossible to kill for one. BUTT if they fought in a 1v1 battle Sidious would get murdered. While Tenebrae is not a master duelist he is the master of the force and even yoda said my ally is the force and a powerful ally it is. the huge difference between sith and jedi is the force and dueling. Jedi are master duelists and all this talk about sword play paints a picture that sith also do this. They do not. The only sith class that is even similar to Jedi is the sith warrior. The most powerful sith warrior besides Wrath was Darth Malgus. He was a master duelist and survived long enough to learn force ability's of Inquisitors making him rival a lord class. Btw yes Darth vader was a sith warrior. In old republic most sith were of warrior class very few equal the lord class of old. The old sith empire is where you get the sith classes from. you got Warrior, Inquisitor, Lord and Alchimist. These are the known classes. In force ability from a scale 1-5 a warrior would be a 1 and a alchemist would be a 5. The Dark Lord which is a ancient title replaced by Darth later on would be also a 5. in context, Jedi Knights would also be a 1. Anways Sidious is not a Sith warrior. He is and will always be now labeled a Inquisitor class of sith. Sidious could never master sith alchemy making him not a true sith lord of old but he was powerful. He also is not a master light saber combat. Pitting a inquisitor against a alchemists is SUICIDE. Its so foolish. Sidious has way to much hype because hes the face of the dark side everyone sees when they think evil sith guy. When in reality Marka Ragnos would be a more fitting face for Dark side lord.

Sidious was confirmed by many sources to be the most powerful sith. He was capable of creating wormholes that can rip fleets, teleport people, and destroy planets. As much as I like Tenebrae more, Sidious was far superior in terms of power.

And because we've seen what sidious can do and not what Valkorion can do that makes sidious more powerful. Valkorion COULD be more powerful but we don't have enough PROOF to say that he is. So as of now Sidious still has the most source backing him up.
