Crosshair: in addition to what was said, Crosshair losing and leaving his severed hand on Tantiss can be seen as leaving behind his trauma and the worst part of him, the uberskilled hand he used to do the Empire's dirty work. Oh, his expression when Omega went for him first, he couldn't believe it! Dumbledore would be proud of the power of her Love magic!
Nala Se: beyond her redemption arc, this was the first time we see any Kaminoan lower herself to talk to non-Kaminoans, looking Omega in the eyes. To me it is the most loving and caring we are ever going to get out of them. She really loves Omega. Too bad we had to lose Fives... and Nala Se, her entire civilization. From Kaminoan property to a dearest child...
Filoni seems to conduct our feelings as a competent Maestro. To me, at least, Kaminoans were elegant, cloning experts aliens, in Ep. II. Then in Clone Wars, I was willing to twist her neck into a Gordian knot if I could, my anger, my hate, for what she did to Fives... and now we see her redemption and love for the little female Clone...

There's a great part in the behind-the-scenes documentary for Aliens where James Cameron talks about the chestburster scene in the film, and he says that in the original film, people saw how shocking and visceral it could be, and so they toned it down a bit for the sequel because people had already seen how bad it *could* get. I feel like this is similar. Everyone watching this has almost certainly seen Rogue One and Andor. We've seen how bad it *could* get. We don't need this show to take us there again. We have those in mind so we feel the Bad Batch's peril, but they didn't need to end on a down beat...they already did that for The Clone Wars. This is the direct sequel to that show, so it needs to lift some hope out of the ashes left by Order 66 and the rise of the Empire.
I kind of feel like the chestburster scene on that cocooned woman in Aliens was substantially more brutal than the original. "KILLLLLLLLL ME!" Than not only do we get a brutal chest burst but they burn her alive on top of it
Very good point. I’m honestly thrilled with this ending. While having a death, especially early on, can raise the stakes, I never once felt the tension was hindered. Instead I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. If anything, it felt like a proper, hopeful Star Wars ending and I love it.
In the Season 2 finale, the Batch (sans Crosshair) was fine until they weren't, and Tech died unexpectedly. In the Season 3 finale, the Batch was definitely not fine until they were, and they all survived unexpectedly. What a way to subvert expectations. They really had me worried about all of their fates for the whole episode.
They'll be back. I've seen Rambo 4 and 5, 60/70 year old Stallone was considerably more terrifying in those than the OGs hahahha (as perfect as they were)
Not a bad theory! This could also be right at the time of Rogue One. R1 and ANH are so close together and those are the two biggest/earliest rallying cries from the Rebellion. I could see Omega being unable to sit on the sidelines any longer.
@@OneProtagonist this is my take as well... timewise... Both in legends and current continuity after the battle of yavin came the biggest recruitment drive and need for pilots

This finale was phenomenal and I'm still trying to process all my emotions. That epilogue hit me like a truck 😭 I know Omega said she was going to become a pilot but I'd love to see her get involved with the Hidden Path or something and save more Force-sensitive kids like the ones she rescued on Tantiss. I'm also 95% convinced we're going to see her in live action at some point - we know Project Necromancer wasn't dormant forever and for all we know Thrawn's people revived Tantiss at some point and that's where people like that scientist guy from Mando (the one with the glasses, I forget his name) came from. If the good guys have to inflitrate it at some point like in the books, they're going to need someone who already knows the layout. Just a theory but it could be neat to see. If she's friends with Hera that could be the way she gets pulled into the story Anyway I'm going to go cry now, I still haven't recovered 😭 Such a good ending imo but I'm definitely going to miss looking forward to this show every week
Very much enjoyed the finale even if it left more loose threads than maybe expected, would not be suprised at all if we get another full series in this time. Maybe a Hidden Path series with Ventress as some have said. How nice is it to have some SW main characters that get to retire instead of die? Old man Hunter and the rest of the Batch got a well deserved happy ending. (Although i notice Echo was not mentioned, could be he passes fighting. Losing echo a second time could definitely get Rex to the point we see him at the start of Rebels.)

what SEASON FINAL I WAS SO HAPPY. that ending DOES THIS MEAN WE GET A NEW SHOW WITH OMEGA ALL GROWN UP WE WILL SEE. I HOPE SO. but this month we get tales of Empire and then June Acolyte I AM SO READY FOR DARKSIDE SHOWS LOL
