What is the proportion of coffee and water that you use to make the infusion and how many hours do you let it rest?

@@robertotamayodelatorre6296 we receive 5lb bags of cold brew coffee and we grind the entire thing on the french press setting on our industrial grinder. We have giant drip coffee dispensers in the back of house that we then put the ground 5lb of coffee into. A single drip dispenser can take the entire 5lb of ground coffee beans. We pour 14 liters of cold filtered water into the drip coffee dispenser and the machine has a 20 hour drip setting on it . After 20 hours the cold brew auto drains into pre-placed cubes and after it is done dripping we transfer into kegs. Each keg has 7 liters of the cold brew and then diluted with 7 liters of water. We keep full kegs refrigerated in the back until we need to connect them to our cold brew tap. A diluted keg can last about 5 days and undiluted cold brew (when its fresh after the 20 hours and hasnt been put in a keg yet) can last about 7 days.

What if I use Peet's Ground Coffee that is decaffeinated with the water process? Does that mean I still have to dilute the cold brew after a day of brewing, or is it ok to drink straight up?

1 cup heavy cream 1/4 cup vanilla syrup (can be substituted with simple syrup & vanilla extract) 3/4 cup of 2% milk

That was an example using another filter. It was halfway full because I ran some water through to wet all the coffee grounds.

I usually use room temp or cold. I would avoid using warm because you will release more acid with higher temps.

I was just showing how to use an actual "cold brew maker" as opposed to the jar. You can add water to your cold brew if it is too strong.

Absolutely! I use pre-ground French roast all the time.

Great question! Since there is no heat while brewing it has low acid compared to standard drip coffee.

@@AlexYem hey all i haven't tried it yet, but a 50/50 mix of Kenya blend and the single origin columbian. I read an article that said that use an African bean with hints of citrus and a South American blend with cocao notes. I'll get back if I try it. This month

@@kathypear2540 heyo. Yes, I did try it. Could have been any number of variables, it tasted very similar at 50/50, but not exactly. Then I tried 75%Columbian and 25% Kenyan, it was further away from the starbucks. I ran out of grounds. I still have to try the 25 Columbian/ 75 Kenyan, I think that may be the winner. Also I brewed by wrapping grounds in 2 single layers of cheese and bottled water and a acrylic pitcher. I forgot the ratio of grnds to water. Lol i got a plain cold brew from SB and an empty cup. Then poured my brew into the empty cup and had to add a 5th or so of water to get a similar color and strength. Better to brew it rich(too much coffee to water) you can always add water. P.S. I have to add how frustrating it was to get the grounds. They sell a pound of ground Columbian, but 12* oz bag of kenya whole beans which i had to have the in store starbucks grind for me. Yeah.

Yes! 1 to 6 ratio of coffee to water In this video, I used a 1/2 cup of coffee grinds and 3 cups of water.

It’s not quite exact. Starbucks sweet cream is a mixture of heavy cream and 2 percent. But he got it very close.

@@chloej5734 well for our 2 liters... it’s 1 liter heavy cream, 350 ml of vanilla sweetener , and the rest is 2 percent to the last of the 2 liter.
