StarCraft 2 Co-op: EXTREME Mutation Mission - Shir Chaos on Brutal!

Lowko's love for Ravager is too much it's unhealthy.

Attempt 1: You actually got a relatively easy composition! DTs are the tricky part of that. Swann could have defended the early Infested with a single Betty. Remember: If the tier 2 [first wave] has Adepts and Stalkers, they will have Dark Templar early on. If Swann tells you to take your gas, take them! Swann is gas-intensive so he wants to put his Drones on your extractors to get the gas for himself. Love the use of rapidfire! Attempt 2: Yeah your ally should have started to float his buildings since you only need one each to not lose. He did a fantastic job though as he was the one killing most of the infested that were flooding into your base. He actually ended up having more kills in the end, since his Siege Tanks were mostly safely firing at the back.

We did it ! finally ! With Karax and Artanis. Static defenses and Tempests till B2, helping them with shield batteries. Then once secured, Golden Armada style with Carriers in the mix. The satisfaction when you push this bastard into the pit lol.

Judging by the thumbnail, my suggestion was right -- Swann is the man for this job.

Good one! Seems that indeed one main defender and one main attacker is the way to complete this one. Won it with this same strategy twice playing Karax with my allies playing Abathur and then Vorazun.

adding queens to your army and getting the leviathans out sooner would make it alot smoother, but well done.

Wp, Lowko ! If you attack the hybrid spawn places before the spawn appear, it will have been a little bit easier, because there are 2-3 minutes of non-aggression before they appear.

Impressive victory, I didn't think it would be possible with that combination. Your ally carried a lot. Defending this map is crazy, attacking not so much. I did it with a Karax (defending) and a Nova (attacking). I did it once as Karax and once as Nova myself, but it really is pretty nasty. Honestly, I think any race can attack but defending really is a lot harder although it depends on the enemy race/composition. I came up to the last group of hybrid with a Nova/Vorzun combination as well, killed them but couldn't get back to move her back up before she went over the edge. . .10 seconds late... ooh well. This was the hardest mutation I think I have ever done. Although I have to admit, I don't find it that much fun if it is too hard like this. I prefer more balanced, more fun combinations. Something I would like to see from lowko is a custom mutation with Alien incubation, Missile command and Transmutation. In theory it isn't really hard, but I haven't gotten a partner willing to do this combination yet since you can have hybrid in your base before you get your unit count past 16 if you don't react and since I play with randoms, you never know what you are going to get.

lowko, you HAVE to try abathur air game, just get 300 biomass on 3 mutalisks for 3 leviathens, then get as much gas as possible to make guardians and devourers

@lowkoTV, at about 10:45, how did you launch all the ravager shots at the same time? (the corrosive biles)

The original Hybrid missions were fucking insane even on the lowest difficulty settings because you just get fucking destroyed by one single Hybrid against your entire army Show Kerrigan and Nova some love!

I *did* eventually manage this on hard, but it was an excessively close game: Nova with Karax as a partner. Last wave nearly pushed her into the pit (I'd imagine we were five seconds away from defeat), but we managed to take it out.

Lowko, why do you make 21 drones on minerals? There only 7 crystals. Why 3 for each? Not 2 (14 total)?

why does nobody do a proxy hatch anymore? wouldnt that have helped a lot since you could make the units that much faster early on even before going to take your natural?

btw: Can you savescum this missions? Roll the 'easy' enemy AI and load save from the start of the game etc.?

hey Lowko. Just a quick suggestion try adding about 10 queens into the army... at 100 biomass they have 700 hp witch is quite a bit and they will make your army significantly more resilient because of the heal. Let me know if it helps.

I'm a big fan of going mass muta with that much gas. They are fast, auto heal and do extra damage against armored.

U should have added 5 viper into ur build, really nice how u made it tho! Having those at 3:rd and 4:th attack wave is insanly good with the disabling cloud and queens so u can keep having energy to always have disabling cloud around, it works on the hybrid as well.

This comment is probably irrelevant since I'm only halfway through, but Devourers are really necessary, they are incredibly amazingly good anti-air, which your army was lacking. They'll protect your Overseers also. On to the second try, thinking it'll be a win :) Also, with Abathur, once you have a good amount of mastery points into his structure/evolution rate, then it's best to just stick to 1 evo since his upgrades are fast.

Lowko you can't trigger the spawn of the hybrids by moving to their spawning location, only by waiting or pushing Ji'nara too far.

my experience is either karax with reclamation or dt lady vorazun (sp) with dark archons works wonders for this mutation.

That Skytoss build is so odd. They switch from phoenix, which can lift and wreck a ground army, to scouts which don't do enough damage to ground to be worth jack. That final push is a "Pull the boys" type situation. You need everyone at the front, with scv's building static d, if you're afraid of elimination.

killing the bases on each side make it so you only have attacks coming down the middle. You pretty much break down the front door, and have free access to hit their production, then just leave instead.

Definitely should've made viper. Viper's so OP. Anyways victory.

It's a bit of a pity Stukov isn't around yet to do this mutation. Should be nice to see some infested on infested action.

i think you built to many ravagers. their large hitboxes prevent half of them from attacking. also the roach slow debuff is really strong on this mutator

Lowko you need to learn what the enemy is building just from looking at the 1st wave.. adepts = dt and ht.. vikings = mass liberators and banshees, roach = lurkers, ect., hellions = warhounds and tanks :) you play more coop then me, u should know this :p

It's painful watching Lowko hamstring himself in co-op. He treats it like multiplayer, and the playstyle is not even close.

hey lowko, would you like another coop partner? this week's mutation (12/12) is very easy and i solo'd it. but yah, let me know if you need a partner. Nova can solo this week's. Just let her snipe everybody you should be good.

I don't get it, Lowko. You are playing really good at the ladder. In terms of Co-op - you are just really confused (comparing to your ladder play). The reason you have so many heroes avaliable on the co-op game mode is to use them in combinations accordingly to the map you are playing. As you know what kind of mutation game you will play every week - you should choose your hero accordingly. I made this mission with my buddy (Karax + Artanis) after third attempt, and I'm platinum level player and he is diamond. You are Master / GM. It was quite diffucult, yes, but we made it after few attempts. Do not pick your heroes randomly. The reason why Karax + Artanis worked on this map is simple. You can erase hybryids with the ulti skills (Solar bombardnment and solar lance). Karax is taking main attacks with his spear of adun abilities and securing both bases with the static defences. + Karax is healing artanis units (dragoons, immortals). Artanis is shielding whaterver walks before unit die. It's a perfect combination. After expanding and securing expansion with Karax (static defense) I started making my own army (Karax) and from that point - it was an EASY play. You need a partner for these games.

You both just need some more anti Air Units and you would have it much easier :)
