I played this Day 1 on my Xbox Series S on Game Pass Ultimate and it's a great game. I spend hours and hours on the first planet quite happily mining resources. Eventually I got back onto the main storyline and the truth is that I just don't have the amount of time that you need to invest in this game. Great game but a massive time sink. I may revisit it when I retire ;-) Keep up the awesome work PK!
I always wanted to hear your thoughts about Starfield. I think you are correct... this game is not at all mind-blowing, but they sure tried to build the hype this way before the release. Starfield honestly healed me from getting hyped for games. It really did. Also for me it kept constantly crashing on my Xbox Series X and I just had to uninstall it. They couldnt even sell a finished, well working product... In my opinion its a disgrace. Its not funny anymore (selling broken games and fixing them about a year later).
Very well said! Yeah, this really opened my eyes about the dangers of getting overhyped about a game. They really sold this thing, but it did not deliver. Unless it’s a remake of a game that I absolutely adore, I just have no desire to buy a game day one anymore.
Played it day one and really liked it. Wasn't particularly disappointed, however I had kept my expectations realistic. It was exactly what I'd expected, a decent and overly ambitious Bethesda RPG. However, since putting 100 hours into it I haven't had much desire to go back to it yet.
@@PKInTheUniverse yeah, that's understandable. It was over ambitious, there a reason star citizen will probably never be finished and why no man's sky struggled at first. Making such a massive open universe that is also engaging and a good game must be near impossible.
I called it a day at xb1 and Switch. If you don't mind old school European style RPG's, a little less polish in controls but really well thought out as you explore and feel a sense of achievement and reward the deeper you go, hidden area's that will have you coming back for more... Look no further than Risen. Think of it as a more mature version of Breath of the Wild and if that sounds cool it could be for you. Check out say the first 10-20 mins in video form so not to spoil things to much. Sorry Star Field was not as good as you were hoping for. Nice controller though!
This looks great, adding it to my wishlist on GOG. Yeah it is what it is with Starfield. Yeah I love the color scheme of that controller, very similar scheme to the Evercade VS controller .
@@PKInTheUniverse Ha yeah the red and white, good chance that controller will work on VS, not sure of the cable but Switch has USB to C. Cable. I played Risen on xbox360 back in the day, it was re-released last year for Switch, PS, Xbox and PC with better resolution than the 360 one. Something to look out for in the wild or as a bargain in the sales on new consoles.
It’s been so long I don’t even remember. I don’t even remember seeing dogs to be honest. On a random note, my son has been playing dragon quest builders 2 where you can totally pet the dog.
