I had a friend who had a ps3 and mgs4 when the game first dropped and just like that game, so did my 12 year old jaw. That was my reason for wanting a ps3
I am only buying games that interest me on the Evercade and I know I will actually play them on my Super Pocket and enjoy them. I don't understand the game hoarders aka "collectors" who buy these and never open them. Games are meant to be played and enjoyed.
Got my Slim last week. Just waiting on a replacement controller. Works great! Just have a sticky disc drive so it slow ejects. Any advice on how to fix it?
The best reason to make your own arcade/barcade cabinet is because you already have the stuff lying around. The second best reason is that you'll end up with something that not only does what you want but it's unique and no-one else has one :-) I made my own "Jaycade" Alpha Bartop (TATE Edition) that plays nearly all my Evercade Carts and also added a Switch Dock to play TATE Switch games :-) Yes, it's janky as heck and won't be winning any design prizes but I love it and it does exactly what I want it to do :-) Awesome job by the way PK (I used a mini crate for my Arcade Stick to sit on as well). Great video as always and I hope it encourages other people in the community to give it a go and realise that it doesn't need to look totally professional and "just like the arcades" because who wants that anyway :-) Keep on Keepin' on and enjoy your new 8bit cabinet!

I've been thinking about putting an Arcade machine together, something that has a lot of options because I don't have a lot of room. Probably based on Raspberry Pi.
I am 100 percent in favor of forcing your kids to stand up while they play video games: I think that's a fair (and flexible) way to make them aware of the passage of time (it may feel like 30 minutes, but it's really been 3 hours, etc.).

Thank you ! It really does make a lot of these classics feel fresh again . It doesn’t take up as much space as you would think. I could probably even hang this on the wall. But yeah building one is pretty time-consuming and getting the right materials together could be a bit of a hassle.

Hi PK In The Universe! I really like your video. I think it would be great to have TV edited movies on streaming services. It can be hard for parents to find movies for kids because some have too much violence or bad words. Having family-friendly versions of popular films would be a good idea so kids can enjoy them too. Your video shows a big need for this, and I hope streaming platforms listen. Keep making great videos! By the way, I’m a real person and truly appreciate your content!
I understand in now days people just want more singleplayer games than anything and I've seen some of Playstation's first party developers dip their toes in going back to that old model of having a kick ass Singleplayer and then adding on a online multiplayer to it's game like Ghost of Tsushima: Legends Multiplayer. I like to see more of that and not this live service video game future we're in now. Back on the PS3 there were soo many first party Playstation studios doing a single player and a multiplayer mode, Killzone 2, Killzone 3, Last of us Multiplayer, Uncharted Multiplayer, Starhawk.
I still own my ps3 slim that I will not get rid of. I have it installed with hen on it so I can play games on my hard drive. I plan to get some more games for the system soon.
I really enjoy Amazon Luna but haven't subscribed to Luna+ in a long time. I just play Fortnite sometimes and check out what's free to play with Prime each month. Maybe GOG on Luna will be like Ubisoft on Luna? Though they have the Ubisoft+ subscription that lets you play some of those games on Luna too.
Hardcore-ish Evercade collector here. Probably won't get the Alpha, but I'm not down on it. If I was in the market for an arcade cab, Evercade cart compatibility would be a huge positive. It's a known quantity, I own the carts, and I know the emulation quality will be better than most of the overpriced trash in the home arcade space. But I've got nowhere I'd be happy putting a bar top unit and I'm not buying one just to collect it. If they'd gone all in with a proper two-player upright home cab without the Capcom licensing to bloat the price, I'd clear out a corner for that. But I don't think they have enough confidence in their brand to do that. And they'd probably be right. I'd be stoked with a generic red and black cabinet sporting an Evercade marquee. But that Street Fighter logo obviously stands to sell more units, however little that may be. But at the same time, trying to sell on the strength of the license feels more like a Hyper Mega Tech thing. The "Evercadeness" of these cabs feels kind of secondary in both the marketing and discussions surrounding them. People are (rightly) judging them as Capcom arcade cabs first, and it's not been super flattering as a result.
I'm deep into the Evercade ecosystem. I got in early and as a result I'm one of those suckers that owns and buys every cart. That's a pretty significant investment and I refuse to leave their longevity to chance. I got the EverSD exclusively to backup and repair carts. I respect the position its existence puts Blaze in when it comes to working with publishers. Publishers are often idiots and aren't willing to deal with the optics of "piracy" in plain view, despite the fact that these are generally 30+ year old games that were already dumped to the Internet before Google existed to look for them. For example, we can probably thank the simple existence of EverSD for Taito and Capcom being too skittish to allow their games on an actual cart. It's dumb, but it is what it is. Nonetheless, I feel a lot more confident buying Evercade carts knowing I have a means of keeping them around past the life of the physical product. I probably wouldn't have continued buying them otherwise.
Agreed, the EverSD definitely gives me some peace of mind . it feels great knowing I have them backed up on both a microSD card and my PC just in case something goes wrong.
i mean if you jail break the ps3 slim or super slim i jail break my ps3 and i jail break my ps4 too also when jail broken the ps3 can play ps2 games but i rather emulate ps1 ps2 ps3 games .

Thanks ! Ironically, I actually know another guy named CG who’s pooping out tons of Xbox videos to prop up his collection, increase the value and cash out . People just see $ signs when they look at video games sadly instead of enjoyable experiences.
