I find it sad and funny at the same time that you felt compelled to tell people, "It goes without saying, we have to go to Mars." to get an item from Mars.
lol. To be fair, I had video of going there and at times I do say "things" just to support the video. It's an odd process, but you try to guess if it will be helpful to someone watching, distracted, that turned away and wasn't watching, and so on. I also try not to assume people are watching closely. I know when I watch videos I get up, wander around room, make food/drink. Overall, I say a lot of dumb things and make mistakes along the way. It is what it is, and do the best to share the experience. I did not discuss the history of the name Cydonia and refer people to the Greek city-state. Mars is cool. :)
@@kineer My apologies if you thought I was criticizing you. I was not. I worked in the local community college library once upon a long time ago. It was housed in a two story building; I was on the first floor and informed a patron that he needed to go to the desk on the second floor. This fellow then asked me if the desk was upstairs. I was being sardonic with regards to people who need to be told the obvious,
I might have checked my watch and told the library patron, "Yes, yes. It's Tuesday. Definitely upstairs today." :) No offense taken on my side. Thanks for watching!.
All the walking looks like a lot of fun. Shouldn’t have sped it up. One day in the starfield universe they’ll make flying craft that can take you places.
Ultimately the walk wasn't very far (or long in time), but for a single issue video like this I've gotten in the habit of zipping through it. I did the one on Mars the same way. Somewhere in the back of Kineer's brain, there's a voice saying "be consistent." :)
I chased that thing down before the May Update / Beta and had a fresh memory of wandering around at ground level, looking in all directions hoping to see something the triggered a memory. Then the new maps dropped and I realized how that changed things. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great tip. I'm an "alternate Alt-user." My thumb bounces back and forth between them as my brain sorts out if I'm supposed to going up or forward. The two are occasionally in agreement.
It boggles my mind that someone found in the first place. That was probably a real fan of Mars (IRL) that just wanted to wander around the Face on Mars. It does make me wonder if there's anything hidden around other major cities.
@@kineer I'll say this, if this is Bethesda's idea of collecting "100 Tiki Dolls" like Rockstar placed into Vice City, it's not nearly as satisfying across the expanse of galaxies. 😂
I felt compelled to get them all once. I felt a little disappointed in the space suit reward, but at least I had a case full of snow globes. :) [and then I went through the Unity and left them all behind]
What's the deal with the snow globes? This is my third attempt at playing Starfield (not NG+, just the game in general) because of it's irritating bug issues, but I digress. Some players stated that you have to read books to unlock the globe locations. Is this true, or can you find them randomly without a book, or other method?
If you are playing and building in a universe you plan to stay in, collecting snow globes leads to two things. First there is a reward spacesuit set for collecting 13. Second, if you are decorating an apartment or outpost they look nice in a display case. If that's your thing, it's your thing. I've done it once. That said, most of the globes are in locations that are difficult to find without a quest marker. "There's a snow globe on earth. All you have is this historical reference and a terrible map from orbit of a destroyed planet. Good lock." This is where the books come in. Each book will give you a quest marker for a specific snow globe, making it easier. There's at least one globe that is just sitting about in the Main Quest Line only. If you miss it, the area can become locked out. One book is in the Crimson Fleet quest line and can become locked out after the quest. So there's an odd "did Bethesday do this on purpose" vibe in my view on top of all this. If you know about the globes at the start of game, there's no reason you can't find them all. If you don't, you might miss a few and lose out on the 'meh' space suit. Then there are two snow globes that don't seem to be part of the whole 'snow globe' side show, Pisa and Mars. They are in the game, but don't contribute to obtaining the suit. Still, if you are collecting things for display, guess what you end up wanting to find. :) Thanks for watching!
