Stargate Atlantis--Brain Storm 

I'm impressed at how well they can act! I wish we could have seen Neil or Bill on more episodes as themselves, or maybe a stand-alone episode where they get abducted by the wraith and they banter back and forth while trying to escape.

I love Stargate so I'm surprised I missed this episode. I didn't even know those two did a cameo until I was at StarTalk Live with Neil DeGrasse Tyson last night in NYC when he mentioned it. I was the only one in the crowd who cheered for the mention of Stargate...

blew up a solar system, traveled to other planets, to parallel universes, through subspace, tapped into vacuum energy... Mckay kicks their asses before morning coffee

I can imagine Rod saying something like "well I once blew up a solar system, so there" xD great episode!

I never knew Tyson was on Stargate Atlantis. I just figured that these two were fictional scientists of the Stargate Universe (Not to be confused with the show Stargate Universe). Even when I started to see Tyson on youtube, it never clicked. Learn something new everyday.

Having Dr. Tyson and Bill Nie (apologies for misspelling) in an episode of Stargate is Priceles.

Funny how there was only one intelligent well-behaved person in that encounter.

almost ashamed to say when I first saw this I didn't know who these guys were, I just thought they were some random fictional scientists Rodney had some beef with in the past. To be fair though, at the time this was broadcasted they weren't that known in the UK.

Despite being a fictional character, Rodney McKay is the only real scientist amongst them.

Anyone else come here after watching or listening to Star Talk?

The irony is that, at this point, David Hewlett may be more of a scientist that either of those two.

Would've loved to see todd during this conversation since he's also a outstanding scientist.

Neil & Bill Raked Rodney. But, McKay has the last laugh, and gets to go Off World. Good thing the mass public didn't buy in to Scottish Systems Administrator Gary McKinnon Aka "Solo".

Their trying to steal Rodney's woman while complaining about Rodney claiming they steal from him.

Two great scientist, awesome:)

There are four women who have made allegations of sexual misconduct against Tyson. Neil's comment about his last paper being in the 80s and 90s was super ironic. Neil himself has published a total of five 1st author papers, all from the 80s and 90s. And none of Neil's papers contained any new ideas. His doctoral dissertation was grunt work for R. Michael Rich, measuring metallicity of stars in the galactic bulge. And Rich hired students to help Neil. At University of Texas they dissolved Neil's doctoral committee, essentially flunking him. His advisors at U.T. correctly informed him he had no aptitude for astrophysics. As a research scientist Neil is an absolute joke. I don't think the writes of Stargate knew this.

I would love to see George Noorey and his coast 2 coast am radio show inside the next stargate series interviewing a real alien and no one believes him but he gets asgard teleported out of the show or something lol and George noorey freaks out and is taken on board the daedalus for debriefing or something lol

I use to love Neil but his ideology on gender makes him distasteful and ignorant and really makes me think he's not as smart as we once thought.
