If Miss Johnson had not been there. I believe, then some would have from then on run differently. Sam had almost said everything to him. PS: Sorry for the bad english. :-)
I would say the same, but then I remember she was the one who told Jack to just quit the SGC and be with Carter. If they are together after that, then Kerry redeemed herself in my estimation.
lol i hated karry at that moment, but later when she told her to leave his job because even she can see he loves sam - i wanted to give her the biggest "thank you!!!!" award!
Jack is definitely my spirit animal in this situation. Just perpetually confused and nervous. Too bad Sam didn't just say it, straight out, and bluntly.
I love them. Moreover, this is ultimate cringe and I love it as well. Jack has a right to be in a relationship. It is also obvious that he keeps it quite casual. While I love Sam and Jack, it could be debatable if they would want the same things in the future. Perhaps Sam would want a family... does Jack want it as well? I definitely think that main reason while he supported her relationship with Pete at first was him being hesitant about him giving her what she wants. The age difference comes to play, and there is of course the issue of the tragedy of his dead son. Kerry tells him he should retire, and thinks that he cares too much for his job, but I think that he would be open to retiring. Unlike Sam, who is eager to climb the ladder, he had it all and is satisfied. Some fans suggested that he is clueless about her feelings, but I doubt it. This is season 8. He knew about her crush at least from season 4. However, she fell in love with snarky hero Jack O'Neill, not a retired fisherman. He knows that they do not share many interests. It would be understandable for him to think that she should choose someone younger than him. It is quite likely that he sees himself as a broken man in some sorts. We should remember that he was never in a serious relationship, only casual secretive ones. While they were often on the missions, he did not state this as a valid reason and shut it when Carter pointed it out. He still feels accoutable for what happened to Charlie and Sarah. I would not be surprised if he felt like she does not deserve happiness, or that he does not deserve a second chance. When it comes to Sam, we know that she is hesitant about his feelings. In the "Grace", she asked him - well, as it was a hallucination, she asked herself - if she should retire, or if it is just an excuse. Deep down, she knows it is not. Hallucination of Jack tells her he would never want her to sacrifice her career ambitions and that he is "not that complicated of a guy". She knows he loves her in season 7. Jack was her way to do not get in pain, but she also knew that she cannot be lonely forever. She needed Pete, she needed to date other guy to figure out if she truly loved Jack, or only settled on him to bude from pain. When it comes to season 8, though, I can see her starting to doubt Jack's feelings, or at least Jack's commitment to act upon his own feelings. It is obvious that she is quite clumsy trying to form a out-of-work relationship with him, but she tries. Jack's previous approach to get to know her outside of her work was through fishing, she refused either because she was clueless, or because she was unsure if she could resist her attraction in such an opportunity. From season 7, they switch: she is desperately trying to find a way to connect to him, while he awkwardly reacts.
I seen it twice and have it all down. Scripts are usually short, say every line is the easy part of acting. Its the emotions and acting that is the challenging part
Come on people, we all knew that Carter would get flustered and not know what to say. It happened in a few previous episodes.. Remember Heroes Part 2? She was likely going to say something there. It was going to be a drawn out awkward silence conversation.
This scene reveals the second secret of how Jack stays in excellent shape. All he eats is burnt steak braised in beer. The first secret Carter learned in Hathor: “Crunches.”
This episode, got everyone starred up. Sam was about to reveal her feelings for him & then he'll reveals his for her..."Sam, Shut Up Tell Him How You Feel & Kiss Him". These two are so perfect for each other & they both know it. Damn the writer's who wrote the script If only in the movies, after a near death situation they both realize that life is too short & tell every1 at SGC they're in love & soon gettin' married & we'll see the wedding..It would be a great way to end the series.
Oh how we all wanted it so no matter how many times we watched this part, that maybe she wouldn’t come out the door and Sam and Jack would embrace and kiss. 😊
Why is everyone getting upset at the woman jack is seeing? Its not her fault. Sam and jack couldnt do a damn thing cause of regulations, so sam went to pete and jack moved on also. Everyone calling jacks gf a bitch needs to grow up some.
You could Clearly see he didn't want to Hurt Sam but again he didn't want to hurt the Bitch, and I'm sorry but if you're in love with someone you shouldn't be with someone and using them!!!
I LOVE Jack's look @ 1: 40 and few seconds on breaks my heart though I know Sam/Tapping was married but the was these 2 acted and then off screen I wonder IF they didn't have some real feelings and just couldn't be together...
Yes I've got the same reaction when I saw that. It was two days ago, 'cause i'm French, and the TV had never passed this before. I thought I could cry.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH......... It's sooooooo frustrating to see scenes like that and NOT scream "JUST SAY IT AND KISS HIM ALREADY!!!!" GRRRRRR gosh darn those writers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are so meant to be together, why can't they just end this torture for all of us and film the 3rd movie already?!?!?
Yes another Couple I believe should had been together OFF Screen I believed from what I heard from the both off them behind the scenes well Not Anderson his was at a Interview somewhere with the guy that plays Daniel and with Tapping and someone asked them if they ever had an Affair now I think they asked all the 3 guys though the way the guy that played Daniel I guess some people don't think woman can be friends with mostly guys and not FUCK Em,but whatever !!! And the way Anderson's Voice was I really wonder if he didn't love or wasn't in love with Tapping !!
Both good points, even to this day in 2020 of October, I still hold a torch for a Jack and Samantha Carter relationship maybe even a Jack and Samantha O Neill marriage. A dude can dream.
Kari knew that Jack loved Sam. Sam should have told him how she felt because men can be real boneheads, and they don't think with their brains when it comes to relationships. You really have to spell it out: J-A-C-K I L-O-V-E Y-O-U. I K-N-O-W Y-O-U F-E-E-L T-H-E S-A-M-E A-B-O-U-T M-E.
brothers and sisters love each other, I saw that...but some people are a little more into incest it seems then even they know. Jack and Sam loved each other like brother and sister and it just wasn't said so it made it feel like it was something more, but no...because that would be gross
The writers really should have had them get together in this episode, it was the perfect time to do it. In my mind they got together after this but we never saw an on screen confirmation which sucks
I would have been ok with them getting together and then never showing up again in another episode. Stargates love and romance was best left to Daniel. Id rather see two rocks procreate then see people who are like brother and sister get together, you guys are sick
@squishyfishyrosina I had the same reaction... Thinking things like: "Damn! Why she had to come out of house in this moment?" I was so angry and sad at the same time... Why they can't give us a happy end! They're are so meant to be together... Why don't these writers gave us a happy end?! Could cry...
The truth is I've been trying to work up the nerve to come and talk to you for a lot longer - truth is she is having 2nd thoughts about the wedding...the closer it gets the more I get the feeling I am making a big huge mistake........There's actually a very good reason I am bothering you with this....and then Johnson comes barging in.......argh.........she would have told him the good reason she shouldn't marry Pete. Because she was in love with Jack! We all knew it. Why couldn't the writers have made it so!
they did. subtely in SGA. and actually storywriting wise i'm happy they didn't come together, character wise... god, they need each other... and it's mean.
Not always the case. Men like to eat. My dad would probably cook two for himself, either to eat both at a single time, or to eat one then and save to other for a meal the next day. I notice that guys also like to marinate meat different types of ways, in here possibly one normal steak and the other beer flavored. My sisters' boyfriends' dad like to make two set of things, one spicy and one not out of his special rubs. There's also the third option that he's cooking two as an insurance policy that at least one of the steaks may turn out right.
I would cook 2 steaks also, one to eat (test) while at the grill, then the other on my plate with everyone else and pretend that its my first.. That's how men work...
@genjacksgrl90 Yes! That! I so very very much agree. I heard about the third movie like 2 years ago ... and then I heard they were delaying it until after the Atlantis movie ... and now the Atlantis movie isn't going anywhere fast and it's so incredibly frustrating.
bloody hell cant belive i get so frustrated at wathcin them clips of those 2 together. better make that third movie and end this or ill go mental or something!! MAN!
I‘m in a crisis because of this 💔💔💔i have watched last month and so far had watched this episode for 5 times hoping for an i love you and kiss kinda a science 💔💔💔💔
Let's everybody remember Jack & Sam are both serving officers in the same chain of command. More than that, he is her direct superior. Biiiiiig UCMJ problems if they start getting groiny. Much as we all ship J&S, the writers did play it right. The only option for them was for one to resign & become civilian contractor.
When Miss Johnson appears and interrupts Sam, Jack wants to take the meat and beat Johnson for appearing in front of Sam. 😩 He wanted to kill her for the interruption, shows how he moves his hands and lets the beer fall looking at the sky. #JackSam 😢💔
you are adding your own connotations. Jack is with Miss Johnson, they are breaking all sorts of rules. You guys really like that brother sister romance? and here I thought incest was a vestige of the past. they are brothers in arms, I kissed my lesbian best friend before, doesn't mean anything.
Samantha is responsible for most if not all of the world and universe saving moments they both are, based on all those seasons of both of them working together Samantha has proven she is more than some Love interest for Jack. In my opinion they are made for each other.
Man I like the house jack has if i had the money I would buy it. now if these two marred in real life I would be at there wedding for real. lol if only that women wasn't there carter might might might say I love you. dammit that I was this scene is where she finally she's I love and have a romantic barbecue and beer it's perfect. but noooooppee the writer or the director had to make it like it's not time yet for them to say I love you!.
@@ravinraven6913 As a long time fan I simply commented sincerely and complimentary appreciating how exceptionally good Sam/Amanda looked in that scene (Down to earth & real). In my eyes simply stunning. Nothing vulgar, nothing dirty and no innuendo. Now you go worry about you because people that come riding in on a superior high horse are usually the ones riding a donkey.
Yeah I was pissed at Jack for this one because he’s clearly jealous when Pete calls Sam at work and he finds out about the wedding, but meanwhile he’s got a side chick at the same time?!🤨
well he thinks carter is gonna marry so he figures he needs to move on too, he thought that was what was gonna make her happy so he didn't want to stand in her way
Sam and Jack was always something that had no legs. Both of them were too devoted to their careers to jeopardize it by getting involved, or for either of them to give it up to make it work. Carter wasn't crazy about Pete, and basically felt she could use her feelings for Jack as an excuse to avoid it. Perhaps she thought she should hold a torch for the relationship, though she had to know it probably wasn't ever going to take off.
