At first I didn’t know what your comment meant. Then I saw David’s video in my recommended. I can’t believe he’s no longer with us. This isn’t something I wanted to wake up to.
@@ton1 And here i am finding out in a youtube comment section a year later. What a tragedy, i would've loved to see him reprise his role in whatever upcoming series the Stargate license will be used for next.
Always been my fav Ba'al: you dare mock me? O'Neill: Ba'al, c'mon.. You should know, of course i dare mock you Cliff's look of disgust and humiliation through that episode is brilliant.. RIP you absolute wonderful man..
In effect we have lost 2 people; Cliff as well as his character Baal. I wouldn't want the character of Baal to be recast if he were to come back to any new Stargate series. It's unlikely to happen anyway. Probably a son of Baal would be better.
RIP バール from Japan. I'm seventeen years old. I have been watching stargate for two years. I like him who is one of the best actors. If my sentence and spelling mistake , I'm sorry.
I had a smile on my face whilst watching this, Baal is one of those bad guys that you can't help but love. I was about to click part 2 when I scrolled down to the comments... Now I'm really, really sad. Rest In Peace, Cliff :(
RIP Cliff Simon - Wow - Couldn't believe the actor died 03-09-2021 because of a kiteboarding accident in Topanga Beach, California. He passed away at 12:30pm on Tuesday March 9, 2021
Well, at least he went out doing something he enjoyed...not many of us get that chance. I am sorry he is gone, he was a wonderful bad guy on SG-1 and was a real hoot on the convention circuit.
@@All2Meme My original interest with Cliff Simon was that he qualified for the 1984 Olympics for the swim team representing either the UK or South Africa. My family and relatives have a swimming background and are hoping at least one of us will go to Tokyo (2020-2021) this year. I believe Simon qualified to go but he decided he was burned out from training, and he left from Texas to South Africa. My guess he did all this between the ages of 15 and 20. He was a good swimmer and gymnast.
RIP Cliff Simon Absolutely heartbreaking news. He was my favorite antagonist on Stargate SG-1 and his performances will always inspire me to create villains in my work that are as intense as they are charming.
I didn't expect to learn that Cliff Simon just died a few months ago when I clicked on the video to see a compilation of my favorite Goa'uld. Rest In Peace, Cliff Simon and Lord Ba'al :(
R.I.P. Cliff Simon.A good human, a good actor, the best from the Systemlords. Stargate only with Cliff Simon, Richard D. Anderson, Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Michael Shanks, Don S. Davis and Theryl Rothery.
I'm late, it was really tough. Stargate was my favorite TV show during teenage years. And he was so good in his role. Smart and powerful Goa'uld. You will not be forgotten 🙏 RIP, from France. Sorry if my English is not perfect :/
RIP Cliff Simon who was brilliant as Ba'al and one of the best Goa'uld characters of the Stargate SG1 series. Ba'al could even make humans want to serve the Goa'uld through his charisma, force of personality, his presence and humour.
Thank you for the amusement, Sir, the great laughs, the excitement and of course the phenomenal vexation that you provided us with by way of Baal, one of the strongest and most memorable characters in the best sci-fi show ever. Let your adventures continue in the great beyond, we won't forget you on this Earth.
Out of all the awesome stuff about him, the two biggest things I love about this video is Braytac holding a P90 and when he is practically the same as host and symbiote. So cool. He will be remembered as the last system lord and honored.
Cliff Simon has the perfect attributes for the character, Baal. His appearance, voice, speech patterns, e.g., cadence, inflection, tone, mannerisms and statue all contribute to making himself the perfect villain.
Such a shame Cliff Simon is no longer with us. His portrayal of Ba’al was a highlight of Stargate. I loved every episode he was in, because Ba’al was an interesting and engaging villain, brought to brilliant life by Mr Simon. We wasn’t just any other System Lord,; he was the System Lord. Exemplified by the fact that he continued to be featured in the last two seasons. All down to you Cliff! See you on the other side.
Ba'al having a backup teleporter for the Season 8 finale was a *damn* cool moment. I kept thinking: "He doesn't look worried, why is he not worried?" As things kept going wrong in that last minute. Turns out he had _tricks._
Ba'al and Yu were my favorite goa'uld. Ba'al was by far the most flexible, being almost equally comfortable as a system lord or as a used car salesman.
