Hi, if you still don't know how to get rid of the skeletons, drop a broom or hold pick up the one next the the main workbench for the settlement, you can literally sweep them away, I also find rotating the broom and also using the wooden end of it works too, sneaking also helps for the one in the building. Hope this helps people. ✌️✌️
This is years later but I've been in the mood to watch settlement build tours for inspiration. I LOLed at "Amu-Nation" and again at your transvestite shop keeper. I really liked the bones of your clinic/Doctor's residence.
Nice one, oh god, the limitations of no mods, especially not being able to scrap, why the hell isn't that in the vanilla game? Crisp work with the bar area. I have to work on my farm areas more, I just throw then in anywhere, look nicer laid out somehow. Good stuff
I’ve only just picked up Fallout 4 again the last few weeks to find my saves have been deleted. On my previous plays I never got into settlement builds but on this play through (currently level 29) I’m giving it a go and actually enjoying it. I played on PS4, but got FO4 for PC to make it easier to mod. I love the open space in the drive-in, and was looking for ideas on how to make a better base. I started making the same pretty good base as last time, but I'm going to rip it all out when I get home and do something more like this. Thanks for the ideas!
I always used to whole area. The movie screen I always made 1 of 2 tower defense station. Generators to spotlights couple turns on top, but I ran a cable down inside and put the spotlight at the window. The top and back of the cafe was in another Tower Defense area. I never grew it past 24 people though the farm to the west and the red rocket were the two smallest settlements ever made, 5 or 6 people.
I like this because it seems like a realistic size to the settlement. Only changes I'd make would be to have an armour store with power armour display and a general store. You'd need to extend the base settlement with the uneven ground the only dilemma. Nice setup.

That's a great vanilla build! You're right about the lag, mine is rapidly approaching that limit, and I did enclose the screen. (All generators are on top for defense.) This Settlement became my Starlight Ranch, so it's actually mostly empty in the center, with the pond exposed, for a brahmin pond. (Tip for any newbies: you can scrap all the radioactive barrels in Workshop mode. I went almost a whole playthrough not realizing and that build was screwed due to the hassle!) Thankfully now, I have a great Settlement there now. It's a ranch with about 8 brahmin, and a great restaurant/dance hall. The flat roof you left original, Wigg1y Scott, is a flashing open air dance floor. I really worked very hard to get that one area just right, without a single mod. It uses two interval switches to time a grid of nine cycling lights set at different colors, as well as flashing the neon logo, Dance Hall Daze. Thanks for sharing your Settlement, love the gorilla!
I waited and left the drive in theater be until I was much deeper in the game. I did make the red rocket my base fort and have around 20 settlers. I am now just starting to develop the drive in. Just got it all scrapped and surrounded with high walls. Nothing else touched and completely empty. I sent one settler from hangman’s alley when I started scrapping. Not a picanick table or tree left standing. Glad I found this video before I did anything! Man the ideas I got from this!!!!! Awesome work sir!
Now that I've seen yours.... I'm realizing that mine is essentially a ghetto slum. Its literally just a bunch off wood and steel buildings/walls surrounded by a junk fence....
I havant actually seen fallout 4 settlements in years now without mods so its nice to come back and see some. In my opinion im not one for making settlements so crowded in buildings or sectioning off parts of the workshop as i like things being open however i do like when u can put stuff into the building strutures already there that fit well. For my settlement builds id do a challenge where i had to scrap litterally everything in the workshop and exclude stuff like putting stuff in from my inventory and wasteland and absuing the npc loot spawns and hope that whatever i get from defenses in the workshop build area and any trading posts can be used as a way to gain loot for that settlement which meant caps could only be collected traded and sold by any vendors going to those specific workshop locations. I also count stuff like the red rocket cave but only if its within the workshop limit otherwise i dont count it. All in all i play it serious roleplay style. Anyone i cross in the wasteland like companions and random npc's i can help out to send to my workshops.

Meanwhile at my settlement: -only 2 shelters that are open - beds are all stuffed into the shelter - abundance of turrets for defences only -sent a lot of settlers as Supply lines instead -focused most of effort into becoming king of Sanctuary

Hey thanks for the comment and the suggestion. I don't make tutorials as there's nothing I know that isn't already on RU-vid. My channel is all about showing off creations made in any creative game. Hey that's cool. check out my channel there are only 2 more no mods video's. They are Murkwater & Finch Farm. They were all once no mods because like you I never wanted to play mods. But after getting all achievements, I decided to have a look. Never looked back. Mods don't have to be cheating. The new walls cost materials like any vanilla pieces. All my materials come from vendors, using water as currency. You don't have to use free maker. Thanks for the comments.
Hey! I know this is a relatively old video and you might've already solved the skeleton issue, but yesterday I was playing Fallout 4 and I got rid of the skeleton by walking into it, pushing it down the stairs.
Hi, im basically brand new to fallout. Loved the story line, watched my husaband play fo3 and foNV a lot. Then i saw the show, and learned that fo4 came with crafting and building, which is right up my alley, so i started playing. Im in LOVE with the game, though overwhelmed with all the quests and trying to learn more while avoiding spoilers. Assuming you made it this far into my comment, can you tell me how you did the wooden path in the farm? Sorta looks like irrigation. I've learned that i have to level up and unlock some things, but havent found this type of path or flooring. I should have all dlc and im on pc. Will this come available to me at some point or did you do something special to get this effect?

As far as your question goes, all I remember is this: make sure you have all the DLC (as you said you did) AAAAND... make sure to collect all the "Picket Fence" magazines, that way, you'll have everything in this video. A RU-vid guide to their locations, shouldn't give too many spoilers. Let me know how you get on.

I was thinking of putting something over the water pump as well. For some reason I draw a blank when trying to figure out what I want to build. I guess partly because the settlement meter fills up so fast.
Hey!! You know you can extend the settlement limit right? Ok here's some tips. find out how to enlarge your settlement size. Push it as far as you feel your device can go. (You'll know when it starts crashing) Which reminds me, if you like building that much always make loads of back ups as you go. It will crash and corrupt! Also, buy all the DLC and make sure to collect all the "picket fence magazines". They unlock extra items. Also learn the post glitch and rug glitch, how to group lift and how to lift items outside of build mode. Once you know these you'll make some badass settlements
If this is all constructed with no mods and no dlc how did you get the cement posts, steel railings, box cars, etc to show in the vanilla game? Thank you
There is DLC, it's a no MODS build. It's years since I've played this game but you will have EVERYTHING shown in the video IF you have the DLC and have collected all the "picket fence" magazines.
If I remember rightly it took a few attempts. Also I'm guessing you know about "group lifting"? If not check out some group lifting videos and the post/rug glitch videos. Have fun!
Haven't played this in a long time but i think they are from the vault building pack, which if I remember rightly are part of the DLC. Everything in this video is either base game or DLC. Remember to find all the Picket Fence Magazines to unlock every last item.
You have to use mods, and DLC. Some stuff is even unlock-able. Lots of people see mods as cheating but they don’t have to be. I just waited till my second play through, they add variety. And yes Xbox has mods for this game.

Hi, it's a while since I've played this game, but there's no mods used to actually build this, despite my modded pip boy. Anything I have in this build, you can get by either collecting all the Home Decor Magazines (in game collectibles) OR making sure you have all DLC installed, thanks for watching.
I know this comment is very late but without mods there is a way to push the skeleton down the stairs and (at least in my game) if you push it downstairs where the door is to the roof u can push it all the way to the wall and it will glitch and fall through the floor never to be seen again... (Hopefully). by the way I liked ur video keep it up.
Some really cool ideas and things I haven't seen before in this build. Sucks that you have to use glitches and mods to make things look awesome cuz I can't use either of those things lol
Thanks, I've used glitches and dlc, but absolutely NO mods. Mods were installed at the time of recording this video but NONE used in the process of building this settlement.

Wigg1y Scott I also stole the security bus idea, I have scaffolding on the side with the door the length of a bus a turret on top and some railing on it so you don't fall when you walk up there

Hi my game has no mods but does include the DLC. As old as the game is I should imagine they'll be pretty cheap now. Also you get extra items by collecting all the "Pickett Fence" magazines. Happy building!!
Not sure what you're asking here but this is a no mods settlement. (one of my very few). I have a list of all mods I have used in other settlements on this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cuUVUkK_IQY.html (look in the description). However you will find that many of the mods are not available on PS4 due to many restrictions put in place by Sony. this is built on Xbox One. Good luck.
Lol "pre mods" I hope u were being sarcastic, I saw MANY things as mods, here's a few, pre war tvs, vault tec crates, potted plants, gorilla chair, vault tec tables, generators, the pre war beds, the railing, windows, the list goes on and on it's packed with mods

Henry Jurkiewicz this video was a while ago now. It’s hard to remember what bits are what but if the stuff isn’t in your game you either need to unlock it by collecting all the magazines or buy the DLC.
This is a NO MODS build. This and several other settlements were build BEFORE mods were installed. The video was made AFTER mods were installed. Please feel free to continue calling me a liar and point out any other "discrepancies" with the NO MODS build.

if you dont want to use mods and get rid of shit in your settlement like the skeletons ANY weapon that has explosiv as legendary effect will help or if you want to throw a billion frag grenandes. lol
Wrong! Mods fix a ton of bugs that devs can't be bothered with. Mods also add a ton of content, for free, to a game you would otherwise be finished with. Open your mind, complete it WITHOUT and WITH mods.
