finally someone said this. thanks OP for doing this video. is the Acolyte the best Star Wars show ever? Nope. was the script clunky? Yes. was the acting bit 'amateurish'. Yes. could the production value be infinitely better. Yes, pls. is the Acolyte anywhere as epic as George Lucas's stories? Hell no. are the lesbiany message distracting? as a woman, i concur. yes, it wasnt necessary to turn the whole coven into a lesby coven. the datharmir nightsisters were not lesbies. does the Acolyte intrigue you? Yes, I wanna know more. is it better than the Mandalorian, boba fett, ashoka, andor etc tv series? fug yeah. does the Acolyte deserve a second season? Yes. Why? pls read on. the acolyte is something refreshingly new from Disney. how many times must we watch stories about the rebels fighting against the imperial stormtroopers? how many god darn times must we watch stories about the Empire vs the rebels? how many times must we watch sabotage plotlines, covert operation plotlines? arent you all tired of the same old stories over and over and over again? the Acolyte has no imperial stormtroopers. there are no rebels, no shitty overglorified boba fett. no fat overweight ashoka running around twirling her lightsabers like an amateur. it focuses purely between the jedy and the sith. the Acolyte is giving us new stories. cortosis is now canon. darth plagueis is now canon. was it awesome to see the kyber crystal being bled turning the lightsaber red? oh yes! was it good to see the jedis being dishonest/manipulative/shitty? oh yes lol . surely these are nice concepts to explore. EVERY single real star wars fan (like yours truly) was shocked to see darth plagueis. we were more than surprised to see ALL the supporting characters jedis getting slaugthered. the Acolyte is Disney's only chance to depart from that accursed Star Wars timeline (the empire days). for fug sake, how many times must we watch rebels vs imperial stormtroopers. disney made a huge mistake in cancelling this show. it had potential. it wasnt perfect but it's way better than other current star wars shows.

The only two problems that i have with acolyte are 1. it redefines how the force works 2. It's plot is boring

I see your point but I can't agree with it. It's fine being a niche. In fact it's better. If they wanted to open up to new audiences they should have made something new for that audience. But they can't because they don't have the skill required to do that. The same thing happened with the witcher for example.

Thank YOU for this video. Im a guy and a long time Star Wars fan and I actually, love the Acolyte series start to finish. I think the scene with the Jedi not blocking the knife with the saber, was actually deliberate because of her guilt, PERHAPS. But yeah the hate for this series is way over the top and disgusting.

I really appreciate the mindset you’re taking with this, because it’s good to hear differing opinions from the opposite perspective. I don’t think the “straight white men” comment in regards to the demographic this is aimed at holds any water. People aren’t upset with it because of the lack of straight white men, they’re upset with the quality of the story and the ramifications it has. Adding gods to a video game doesn’t change the lore of mythology because it’s not editing the base mythology itself. Having a tv show that directly contradicts the source material in its own universe is much different.

Funny how there have and continue to be thousands of story books related to Star Wars but no one ever cares about their accuracy. Lol

I struggled through the first three episodes. Then it paid off in episode 4! I've watched that episode 4 times. Hope it stays great now.

Man! When Star Wars first came out, I couldn't get enough. Recently my daughter and I watched the Mandalorian. It was ok for awhile, but then got so boring that we couldn't bare it any longer and how weird that you had to go over to the Boba Fet series to figure out what the heck was happening. Kinda felt like a bad mushroom trip. I still love the originals. They never get old. I even like how weird the original Luke Skywalker was and those side buns that Princess Leia sported, oh yeah baby!!

No it is not great. It paid no attention to the legacy of Star Wars and pushed an agenda to its viewers and Disney needs to stop!

What do you mean by "this show isn't for me"? It's star wars, people's favourite classic. They murdered the fundamental ideas of it, which made it so great in 3 episodes. Broke the lore and spit in the fans faces. If this show "isn't for me", then take away star wars logo from it and continue to film this woke bullshit under another brand

I do not really agree with you. I hope its sarcasm, but i just watched one video from you, so im not sure. If you want to tell a story with the focus on any gender related topics, then go for it. You will have your audience. But don't destroy a whole franchise with your bullshit. If you want to adapt that bullshit in starwars you will get massiv backlash. If you are into Star Wars then its not because its diverse. Its because you like Sci-Fi. Its because you like to watch guys fighting with lightsabers and massive space battles.
