A quick look at a new simulator that's being worked on by Fleetyard Studios - Starship Simulator.
Like Elite, you get the full span of the Milky Way to explore, but they're also working on fully fledged interiors with a host of activities to complete and rooms to explore when completed.
This is just a quick video, where I take a look at what we can do in the latest technical demo and have a poke around.

Wow, two Elite Dangerous roasts. Holy heck, did you get RNGineered like super hard?! Also yeah. This game is amazing. Glad to see more coverage of it. LONG LIVE AND DO WELL!

Don't get me wrong, Elite is probably my favourite game - I've certainly put more hours into it than any other game - but the Odyssey launch was an absolute shipwreck. As for ship interiors, I'm pretty sure it was something that was originally mentioned on the Kickstarter for Elite too. This game is definitely one to watch though - I'll be circling back to it every so often as updates drop to see how it progresses.

Oooh didn't realise that. I really need to start looking at what's available outside the RU-vid audio library and also what clips ETC I can use without getting slammed for a copyright claim

@@gamingsnipsandbits its a rough world and I suggest EXTENSIVELY checking on copyrights but yea there are a few gems out there that are fair use

Damn, its always nice seeing new space games appear. But I would love to see Space-Engine finally get some love by game devs too: I mean you have this great functional engine, highly scientific and very well fleshed out, and nobody is using it.

"Alien Virus" lighting mode is also a welcome feature - good to see there's enough lightbulbs that they don't need to change them for each alert 😁

Looks like this dev played the first contact missions that they removed in Star Trek Online. That's it. Game's sold. To millions. 2028. Gonna be wild! Or 2030. More time the better :).
