Someone that can’t say no doesn’t have a backbone and will end up being manipulated in ways that wreck your life as well, and it will happen a lot. Friend, husband, or wife, do not engage and bring people that don’t have a backbone into your life because you will get the backlash from whatever help they bring into their life because they didn’t say no, it attracts all kinds of bad manipulative people, and that slime will get all over you as well. And you will hate it, you will really hate it and resent it, and once these people know who you are and where you live.,.sometimes it can take years to get them out of your life, so don’t let them in by hanging out with people with no backbone. Make them learn healthy boundaries by not being a part of their life until they do. And if they never do, just consider yourself blessed that you didn’t bring that hell into your world. My ex’s friends were manipulative, demanding people. It’s a joy to have them not in my life. To them, boundaries were bad and they didn’t like being told “no”. If you want to quickly weed out at least a fair bit of problematic people in life, try saying “no” to people quite early on. How people respond to “no” when they ask for a favor, when they ask if you are free to do something, says a lot about them. So, try saying no and *give no explanation*. It’s important to not give an explanation as to “why“ when saying no. You can’t cheat on their test, you are testing them, and don’t do it just once you don’t do it three times in a row but do it now and then. People that just offer another alternative for a different time, those are healthy people, people that whine and want to know why…they are to be cut loose. And if it seems cruel, just remember this is a monster that’s going to eat your head off later, so just cut it loose now. Say no. Give no reason. You can say you have “a prior engagement”, you are not free, but no more information than that, other than you are simply not available. (this is very good for places of employment that start making demands, no there because they will suck the life out of the people that allow it, and no, those people never end up getting great raises or promotions for all their sacrifice they just get used. Same in the workplace as in personal relationships, users just use, and there is no reward for being used, just more exploitation of…you). Say no. See what happens. This is to see how people handle being told no, and if they are going to start demanding to know why. People who want to know why and insist on knowing why are people who think they have the right to determine whether your reasons are valid or not-to them. They are telling you that they think they have the right to decide whether your reasons are important or not, and they don’t need to be important at all, it’s nobody else’s business but yours.

I didn't have anyone warning me the woman I chose was wrong for me. In fact it was freaky how well we got along when we were dating and engaged.
