I take Tumeric tablets to help with chronic pain, we cook with it as much as possible, and I make my own face masks and always add a pinch of turmeric as it’s supposed to aid in skin redness...so I use it a lot luckily.
For me as a green & oolong tea-drinker, I like to add Turmeric and ginger to my tea. At age 81 ----no health problems, and my eyesight and cognition is sharp and clear.
I have been taking about a third teaspoonful of turmeric mixed with a cup of water for a few years and the benefits are fantastic. My heartburn and osteoarthritis problems no longer bother me and overall health is great.
I’ve been neglecting my diet, am 27 years old and started taking turmeric supplements. I’m not saying it’s a miracle worker, but I definitely notice a difference. I think it’s helping my gut

I've been taking 1/2 t turmeric, 1/2 t ginger, and 1/4 t cayenne in 1 c boiled water, twice a day for the last 5 days and I feel much better. The chronic inflammation, I've experienced my whole life is gone.
Do you use the powder form or pill capsule ? And also do you mix it black pepper study says black pepper activate a certain nutrition and helps absorbs it quick
I just brushed my teeth with turmeric. Wow! Very slight improvement in whiteness right away, which was surprising. But the added bonus was that my teeth felt very smooth and slick - sort of like after a dental cleaning but without the gritty stuff.
@@ibabechanel i put olive oil in my palm and dip my toothbrush in the olive oil. Then I dip my brush in the small jar that contains the turmeric. As I brush, I sometimes add olive oil and turmeric to the brush.
I use Turmeric for almost everything you mentioned. The one that shock me the most was the turmeric + Milk (thats a new one) going to start that ASAP, Thank you. TURMERIC worked a miracle in my life, I recommend it highly. I use turmeric+Pumpkin spice+black pepper+ginger (all powder) at night before I go to bed, it helps me sleep longer plus i don't have to get up and go to the bathroom every 2 hours. Thanks for the FYI, enjoyed the journey.
Juana, turmeric milk ( I use almond milk) is great for inflammation, I have horrible back pain and it's definitely made a difference. I'm interested in your suggestion especially since you sleep longer and don't run to the bathroom ( which I do often) 😅
When I had a very bad bladder infection , and went twice to the doctor for antibiotics, but the pain kept coming back ,it happened that I waited at a hair salon for my turn ,that I grabbed a few magazines ,and found this wonderful herb tumeric , I bought at the pharmacy a big bag ,and started drinking morning and evening ,amusingly ,my bladder got healed and the pain left ,and I never had that infection again ,so I am buying tumeric ever since ,thank you for your channel,...mrs Bailey
Years ago in South India I saw that the women would put turmeric paste on their faces and go about their day with bright yellow faces. I asked what it was for and people said it was good for cleansing the skin. Now we are finding out many other great things it does. Indians are very clever people.
Turmeric is a blessing for me.. I had been suffering from gastritis and been to hospital many times because it hurts so bad.. Luckily, my father prepared turmeric for me.. I took a half glass of turmeric juice with a spoon of cornstarch for 10 days.. And I am totally healthy now❤️❤️its been years and I never experience gastritis again..
@@nchangernestine2443 you should try it😊 I just recently got married and my husband is having the same health problems as mine.. I prepared turmeric for him and it really works. .. It also helps with his back pain.😊 I hope it will work for you as well❤️
@@viviandaniel6492 just put up to 10 pieces of fresh turmeric to a blender. If you don't have a blender, you can just minch it using a mortar. Don't add water so you can get just pure and concentrated turmeric juice😊 separate the juice using a strainer and then put a spoonful of cornstarch. Then ready to drink. Remember to hold your breath upon drinking because turmeric smells kind of bad. And by the way, don't take it when you are pregnant or lactating woman😊 hope it helps
A little important note : Always eat a Black Pepper with tumeric so that it absorbs in body 2000 % times as it is poorly absorb by body its main ingredient Curcumin is kya 3-4% so 3-4 teaspoon a day will help as atleast more than 1500mg
Of course, I have. I love it. I am chronically ill and used to used it a lot when I did all the cooking. I used it in everything. It's been 2 yrs. and yes I can tell the difference that I haven't been cooking or using turmeric. Now it's the new thing and I see why. I just always loved the spice and thought that I was doing something good for my body. I'm feeling a little better now and I think that I will try to get back into the kitchen. My health depends on it. I don't like the raw taste of turmeric though and I don't like honey. I always substitute agave. Can you please give me some alternatives to take because I take a lot of medications and I may not be able to tolerate these concoctions. Thanks.
I started to add turmeric to my food and drinks a day ago and today you’ve posted this video. How amazing is that?? It means I am on the right way, right?
Wow! My neighbor gave me a small jar, it's been in my cabinet for a while, I didn't know it could help with my hair and loosing weight. I'm going to try it for sure. Thanks!
I use turmeric and I have changed in weight and I feel unbelievable good. I would tell anyone to try turmeric. Do your own study and see. It's awesome.
It brothers me when people think they’re the best people, culture etc. I love the Indian culture but please keep humble, it’s more forthcoming and attractive.
I watched this video with interest. 1thing was forgotten to mention, namely:if you drink Tumeric Longa, don't forget to add a pinch of black pepper. Otherwise it doesn't work the right way🙂. Regards from The Netherlands 🇳🇱🙋🏽♀️.
I use turmeric with coconut oil to whiten my teeth and it works like a charm. Just found this video will try the recipe for the brain to keep my my sharper. Thanks!
I've been taking tumeric for a year and I look like a highlighter pen, during the day I stop the traffic and during the night I illuminate like a moon.
Yes it delays the appetite and it works for me,I have minor joint pains but when I started to use turmeric it was like miracle.I’m sharing this because I prove it from myself.I hope guys turmeric will be effective with you too☺️
Thank You So much for tones of Info. My Videos on Ayurvedic Health Tips but in Malayalam language my mother tongue. We apply Turmeric in wide range of Ayurvedic Medicines. Thank you so much.
As far as I know, by consuming turmeric on it own, most of it passes through the body unused. Mixing it with black pepper increases the body's intake 20 times. So far all the remedies mentioned that involve ingesting turmeric, black pepper should be added.
Wow, I can't believe it - I did a search to see if it's just in my mind, but it's not! I have started adding turmeric to my diet for anti-inflammatory purposes (about 1000 mg a day) and my hair!!! It's shiny, strong and fuller - and it has also been helping my joint pain - which is why I started taking it in the first place!
The turmeric that surprised me the most is THE TEETH WHITENING. I do drink turmeric most days since 3months at least once a day but I'm not sure if I have seen a change not saying it dont work. But the only thing I've realised is it clears my mind and my brain operates faster. For me that means I'm able to be more creative easily. Also, it wakes me up, so I stopped drinking just before bed other wise I would never sleep with all those door opened in my brain, not joking either. Hopefully I'm able to see more. So turmeric is staying with me for LiFE. Remember guys to grow turmeric, it's so easy plus pests don't like them 😏
your skin can absolutely turn jaundice! My friend took a little too much turmeric for inflammation and people thought she had a liver issue because her skin and eyes were jaundice
Thank you Bright Side for giving the India’s practice on beauty which is been used in exercises and diet as far as I could remember. Thank you mom and dad love you guys for giving me turmeric from childhood to this day
In Indonesia, curcuma longa or curcuma domestica is called "kunyit" or "kunir" There are two varieties of turmeric here: kunyit biasa (regular turmeric for cooking) and kunir besar (bigger turmeric for herbal medicine). There is another yellow root which looks like turmeric. It is curcuma xanthorizza. We call it "temulawak" here. It also contains curcumin, but the amount of curcumin in temulawak is less than that in turmeric. In our country, turmeric is the yellowest root, number one, and temulawak is the second one. In order that the curcumin in turmeric might be absorped well by our body and might not gather in the kidney, we need piperin in black pepper. So, we have to mix the turmeric and black pepper together with hot water or briskly boiling water. In Indonesia's traditional markets or hyper markets we can find turmeric powder and black pepper powder. It is easier to use these powders. We put a spoonful of turmeric powder and a teaspoon of black pepper powder into a glass, mix them well with a spoon and pour hot water into the glass until three fourth of the glass is filled with hot water. Mix well again. Wait until cool. Ready to be consumed. How is the taste? Of course, it is very bitter and not nice in your mouth, but very nice in your body! The first time I consumed turmeric powder and black pepper powder, I got detoxification, namely diarrhoea without feeling weak and I felt extra-strong, different from before. Every day, I consume turmeric and black pepper twice a day: one time right after I get up in the morning and the other time two hours before I go to bed.
I have Lupus. During one bad flare up I had ulcers on my hands and forearms as well as swollen purple fingers. I researched natural medicine and was already using fresh ginger tea and lemon. Then found Turmeric! Only use Turmeric from India, by far the best. Found the recipe for coconut oil and Turmeric to put in my coffee every morning. After 2 weeks the swelling and purple left my fingers and the ulcers disappeared! It has been a year and the flare ups have only been minor. [Note. I'm still allergic to the Sun]
As an Indian who uses turmeric a lot, I'd say that it's the most effective remedy for acne and discoloration of the skin. It's natural, fast, glows up the skin and removes dirt from the skin. My grandma makes this tasty paste, eating a spoon was enough to show a miracle. IDK I just want to say that MIRACLES OF TUMERIC IS NOT A LIE.
Essentially it's just turmeric mixed with some rice powder, water and jaggery sugar . She then heats it in a pan so it goes from a loose liquid to a thick paste. My grandma also added a bit of coconut milk towards the end so make it taste better.
@@63annushka I have acne scarring and this honestly helped so much with clearing that and some hyperpigmentation. Contrary to what people say, I use turmeric, yogurt, honey mask every day and it actually helps me. I know the mask is photosensitive but it's cold here and I also wear SPF when going out so I hope it doesn't affect too much. I would recommend, however, to do this mask just before bed.
Good morning & Happy Holidays. I grow turmeric & use a good quality powder. In 2011 I came down with a mild case of Psoriasis due to stress. I started my "Life Journey" changes using turmeric daily & changed my stressors. And within no time at all all my spots all over my body were gone. I looked like a spotted Cheetah with Psoriasis. Not only with weight loss, happened but also my overall health I felt great. I am now testing it myself on cuts & scrapes with Coconut oil. It is a miracle worker, try to incorporate Turmeric in your life daily, if possible....Thank you, Bright Side for all your awesome videos, very educational. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year...
@@gregortiz6384 yes milk & Turmeric has many health benefits my mum has been having this for years. I think its best to get fresh turmeric & boil it with milk. Add half glass of cold milk un glass or wait to cool before drinking
People in bharat be proud of this! Few years ago there was a huge battle in US patent office as some american company claimed they have just discovered turmeric qualties ( lol ) that's when CSIR from india came in and won the case claiming it yo be part of Traditional knowledge in india! Jai hind!
Bright Side, thank you very much for sharing! I will try these recipes to the ones I am already using. Turmeric is absolutely amazing. Skeptics try it.
Being an Indian i can say, turmeric is the main ingredient in our daily cooking.. we have a huge usage of turmeric. Even burning or little cut if we get, just put on a bit turmeric.
i am always looking for healthier things to add to my diet! i will definitely give turmeric a go!!! my dad used turmeric when he had really bad stomach pain and it helped him.
I discovered this to help me back in 2015 as I'm a writer on health and beauty being I'm a cosmetologist I developed gastritis and vertigo..has many benefits I been writing on this as other products
I've been drinking turmeric shot I buy from Aldi. So much cheaper than buying from Whole Foods. I've been having knee and foot pain before taking this, and after only a week of drinking turmeric shot everyday, all the pain is gone.
I like to make my tea with a couple of sprinkles of turmeric powder, a sprinkle of cinnamon, honey, a little orange juice, and a cap full of organic apple cider vinegar. I put chamomile and green tea bags together in the mix also. I find this mixture good for colds as well.☺
Thank you very much again for this wonderful knowledge Bright Side! ❤️💓❤️ 3 days ago I make a garden of turmeric! Can't wait to harvest them. Regards from Sara Iloilo Philippines!!!
As an Indian, turmeric is used everyday in our curry, which we consume at least 2 times a day.And our immunity system is really good.I am in late 20s and the last time I fell sick was in class 2, I was a child. And 3 years before I had cough bz i kissed a boy having cough, haha!I didn't know his cold could be that lethal! It lasted like for a week or so! hihi!
7:22 joint pain 8:16 improve mood and stimulate brain function. One glass Coldwater half-teaspoon turmeric plus half teaspoon black powder and a slice of lemon once a day. The effect is instantaneous but it's not recommended if you have stomach problems. ( why not just take a pinch of black pepper instead of a half of teaspoon)
my grand mother using this turmeric in the province and herbs in the forest. She likes using herbs for illnesses like coughing, cold and skin diseases and many more illness. All her life was her only hospital once she was 95 years old. She died in 2017. Herbs and vegetables are really different if they are used by people. Her life is long. Iv'e been planting turmeric now behind my house:)
No wonder I haven’t been sleeping well. I’ve been drinking a turmeric latte with coconut or almond milk and using a teaspoon of turmeric. It taste delicious but it’s been keeping me awake at night! But my brain is sharp! 😋Thanks for this very informative video!
Bright Side this is absolutely insightful! 💘 As an Indian, it's traditional to add it to all our cooking. Our forefathers sure knew about the secrets of this magic root. 🙏 Thank you.
I have been taking between 1/2 to 1 teaspoon full of turmeric with a dash of black pepper daily for 7 years and I haven't needed anything for joint pain since. My question today is if I increase my intake for weight loose can I take it twice a day with coconut milk instead of whole milk since I'm lactose intolerant?
